So the other night I was laying down and something weird happened, I closed my eyes and a few seconds later I could sense the blackness like in 3D and I could see this sort of portal or window coming towards me, it was very clear inside the window and lightly dim but I never got in so it was like a phasing experience but the weird thing is that I was not even relaxed I could still feel my body and even the noise going around me like the wind and just random noises.

I could literally feel like I was in two places, and both felt unique like I was split in two but at the same everything was one. It's really hard to explain and I guess even comprehend.

Yup, that's actually perfectly normal... and it wasn't "like" a phasing experience, it *WAS* a phasing experience.  ;)

To specifically answer your question, you can actually experience multiple areas of consciousness simultaneously... the "split" is simply the amount of attention you're putting towards one area versus another.  It's also not relegated to two focuses being experienced at once... it can actually be an infinite number of focuses experienced.  The most common just happens to be the physical and the immediate non-physical areas experienced simultaneously.

I've actually come to the conclusion lately that a full body relaxation isn't required to do phasing.  I phased just the other day by accident while I was lying in the most uncomfortable of positions, aka, NOT very relaxed at all.  LoL  What *IS* a requirement is that you need to be able to disassociate your focus from the physical... now, for some people, especially beginners (but not exclusive to beginners), relaxation does significantly help with that disassociation, it's just not 100% required.

Sometimes I will wake up I think before a dream has ended, and whatever last thing I see I will see right in front of me in real life. One time I had a dream I was in my room and there was a spider on the ceiling. Its legs were unusually long, so I thought well that can't be real.. So I opened my real eyes and I saw the same spider on the ceiling. And after maybe 3 slow seconds, it faded away.
