I ask so many questions i feel bad that i can't contribute more answers.. in time hopefully

anyways i read alot about seeing through your eyelids.. focusing on the black...

i think I'm probably trying to hard.  when i attempt to focus on the black i can see things.. swirls.. some times full shapes of a room or a person.. well that is what i think i see..

then something i see starts to come into focus a bit better and it almost feels like I'm opening my eyes and seeing this image.. is mostly in greyscale(graphic design) thats how i see it.. and i start to feel confident that I'm actually seeing through my eye lids.. then i try to focus a bit more and my eyes feel like they are twitching like crazy.. the images I'm seeing are now more like a strobe light is in my room and I'm seeing flashes in sync with my eye twitching.. almost like I'm trying to force my eyes shut if you know what i mean.. yet i just want to open them and see what is in the black..

and again frustration.. any thoughts?

I don't think you should focus on the black, since that's physical sight... Focus away from all physical senses, and direct your attention within.

That means your attention should be directed to that area of your mind where faint pictures appear when you use your photographic memory.

Look away from the computer screen and try to think of a red apple... If you did it correctly, your eyes should have looked to the top/top right automatically, and you should have seen a faint glimpse of a red apple in the back of your head.

If you want to prolong the time pictures appear for, think of a more complex, continuous scene. Your mind will not display "idle moments" until you are in much deeper trance, so keeping it moving is the way to go when you're still awake. Simulate the passing of time, and let your imagination suck you in. It's easier to focus on something you've created than the random pictures that come up while you're falling asleep.

As for eyes twitching, someone posted a good cure here a few months ago... Basically, every 2-3 breaths, open your eyes for a half second, a bit as though you were "reverse-blinking." I don't know why it works, it just does!
