Title: Have you come across golden light?
Post by: kiauma on January 12, 2004, 19:08:49
Sounds magical to me.  [:)]

I have never seen it in the astral, though I saw a cat glowing with gold light once in a vision.

I did see a golden sunset once, in Nevada, where the entire sky turned a burning gold.  It was trippy.

Gandalf,
I can give you my guess at this time. The sun color may have to do with the solar plexus chakra. My guess is the energy is channeled upward to the third eye chakra. The sun then shines from your eye. The way the sun or golden light appears, may depend on where the energy or light source is coming from. I believe one does generate the light. There are many kinds of light. The main ones I see are, self radiating, sun light (gold or yellow), reflective moon light (white or yellow or silver). Something you might want to try while your awake is to imagine sunlight in a room. I find that I occasionally see small sections of sunlight on things. It looked like mustard, or solid yellow paint at first. The idea may have come a lucid dream.Dream: Light green tree leaves came through the window, the sun came in behind the leaves. Now, the sun light appears occasionally in my vision. Last time it happened was while reading the forums here. I think it had to do with the blue and white colors. Maybe I associated white and blue with the sky,and the sun came out. [:)]

Hi Gandalf
I really do not think that you generate this yourself. I have had very similar experiences, mostly related to Astral trips. It seems that to me this light is more than light . It is almost an atmosfere, and is one of the indications that I have used to navigate at times. Sometimes I start my OBEs from Lucidity and I use this light as a thought beacon. It is easy to project toward, and this makes me guess that it is more than light.

Yea unfortunately on several occations the beauty of it has caused me to get emotional and start crying and that totally messes up my concentration and I get flipped back almost imidiately after the first couple of sobs.[:I]

Yes, me too. I had the atmosphere experience mentioned. It was under a moonlit sky. A place of peace and tranquility.

i know what you're talking about, gandalf.  one time i projected and went to my backyard.  i think it was just the sunlight during sunrise, but it looked different, much more beautiful (which is amazing considering how beautiful sunrises are from your physical perspective)... i was told by someone that your astral eyes 'see' the energy in things - objects, people, etc, so it's more than just seeing it... our astral vision probably views the sunlight/moonlight differently, like with the energy in our view also, which makes it so harmonious

I often come across this when I have an astral experience.
Most often it occurs when I am in an outdoor location, everything is bathed in a beautiful golden sunset effect. The sun is a beautiful golden colour and it feels great!

Other times the light does not appear to be the sun but comes from elsewhere.

I DO love sunsets of course but the only time I got anything that approached this magical effect in the 'real world' was when I was in Athens and I was walking around the classical Agora (ancient town centre) of the city and the sun was just setting with that magical light you only get in Greece.

Maybe i am generating this light by thinking about it when I am projecting, but certainly the first few times it happened it occured by itself!

Douglas
