Pain After Projecting

Hi there people.

I'm pretty new to AP, well sort of. I've always had a strong empathic ability and I've had those calling gut feelings about consciousness since I can remember. However it wasn't until recently that I actually started to project.

I feel like I've been thrown into the deep end though. It's not hard for me to connect and when I do its like I see EVERYTHING...Sometimes in that state where everything glows a kind of golden-orangey colour. It feels amazing but it's so so vast, I just feel myself being dragged around rather than being in control of where I want to be. It's hard to explain...When I enter that state it's like my mind is on fire... but in a pleasant way.

Lately, I'm able to control it better. Instead of being flung around in an infinite ocean I try to hold back a little..Keeping a stronger link to my body.

HOWEVER, and this is the reason I'm posting...

I'm exhausted...physically and mentally...it's like being really hungover...or the day after an intense shroom trip (I don't do shrooms regularly, but they are awesome to explore your spirit, sorry if this violates any forum rule.) Most noticeable are the black circles around my now sore eyes and extreme back/neck/shoulder pain. Especially in between my shoulder blades in my spine.

Are my experiences normal? Is there a way to stop the pain? (since I originally posted this elsewhere, I've come to feel the pain in my back focus to one spot on my spine which has now started to ease and actually feels kind of good...like an energy point)

I'd like to hear more opinions from people with better experience than me :)

Well, drugs do usually have side effects so don't be surprised. I have never tried any shrooms or anything (and I really don't want to) because
1) I don't want to mess up my metabolism and
2) I don't need to. People around me usually drink a lot to have more fun but they don't realise they can have even greater fun without drinking at all, if it comes from their minset, from within. Just a few days ago I was hanging out with some friends. They were all drinking beer while I was having a tea (BTW it is so refreshing sometimes to step out of line, to behave in the opposite way than everyone around you. You are indeed your own master then. Just saying :wink:). Well, they kept telling me there had to be something in the tea since I was apparently the most drunk and most laughing person around. And yes, I was having a great time and no, there was nothing wrong with tea. So, you see, no alcohol needed. And what is more, no hangover the folowing day. :wink:

As I am not hat experienced in the NP, I can't say for sure but IMHO this is also true for astral. When you take psychedelics, then you might have an interesting experience. If you don't, it will most likely be harder to achieve this state of mind but when you finally are there, you will know it was just you who accomlished this with no help from outside, you will be in control of the whole experience and also you will see a better progress in your personal development. And this will make your experience that much more valuable!

If you feel like your symptoms are not onlly connected with "taking shrooms," consider taking up  a sport ( for example swimming is good for issues with back :wink:) and living more vitally.

Hello and Welcome to the Astral Pulse!  :-)

I have sore eyes, back pain, neck pain etc., but I have had them almost all of my life.

The only thing I can see here is that you are "pushing" it too much. By doing this you are stressing your body, mainly your eyes. It really doesn't take much to get the back and neck pain started. Daily stress will do that. But the eyes, that comes from making them "overactive". That means that you are noticing way too intensively. Ease up.

I recently had a bad event with a new Light/Sound machine I purchased. I got zapped good by one part of a Session. The light was so bright it actually caused some minor eye damage. But enough that when I try to "notice" it gets painful and my temple twitches.

This taught me to calm the intensity of my noticing down. I'm sure that's what actually caused the Light from the Light/Sound machine to blast me so good too. You need to learn the Art of "soft glance". I found I needed to as well and am currently still working on it.

My temple twitches when I notice too intensely, so I have a built in "detector", lol. Even visualizing is hard to do.

But it was time I learned a new method anyways. The others were getting kind of boring. You need to always experiment. You will then find something that works for you.   :-)

@BranStark:

I'm really not a drug guy...but mushrooms and weed...they're natural and used correctly can aid in these things. I think there's 2 groups of stoners...those that do it to goof around or those use it as a tool to achieve more. In fact, I'd say without weed I may never have made it this far in my spiritual journey. Then again it's not for everyone and I'm working towards full natural highs too.

@Lionheart

Yeah, I think I understand what your saying. when I return to my body I often realize how tensed I am or that my jaw is closed very tightly. Maybe I need to relax a little before!

Progressive relaxation will help with that. But it's important to relax "during" as well!  :wink:
