I heard the morning news and the clockradio was tured off, weird stuff

I used to have that happen a lot when I worked at this one place.  The building was a metal frame building with a lot of equipment running.  But there were many times that I could hear a radio and a couple of times I actively looked for the source but never found it.  I knew with out any doubt that I was in the building alone.  It used to drive me a little batty so I fixed it by just turning a radio on really loud.  That way if I heard anything I knew the radio was on.

Stookie

I've read lots of reports where people hear the radio or radio-like voices, myself included. Normally I can't understand what's being said, but a couple nights ago it was clear as day. There were two female DJ's talking back and forth, just regular DJ banter, and I even heard the name of the station (can't remember it now). I know it dosen't really exist. Then I heard one of the DJ's go "Hey, Stookie!" (my real name though). I've heard my name before while going to sleep, but this was quite loud, and to be honest, freaked me out. I should have just replied "WHAT!?"

When I was young, my great-grandmother always said that if you heard someone call your name and if you answered it and then found out no one did, it meant that you were going to die.  So I'm sort of conditioned to never answer, always check before replying.  Stupid, isn't it?

This actually happened to me all the time when I was little... I would be focused on something like playing and all of a sudden I'd hear my mom calling me... But when I went to see what she wanted, she was just reading or doing something else...

At the time I thought it was because I was so used to being interrupted by her that my fear of being interrupted caused me to hear her voice...

But who knows? It stopped happening as I grew up, and I never thought about it until now... Perhaps she was concerned about what I was up to, since she wasn't watching me, and her astral self was calling me?

That's a little far fetched though :p

kiwibonga,

That was an interesting read.  However I only hear that stuff when I am fully awake.  And for the most part in at that one location.

i watched a report about a town where they installed a handy communication tower (dunno how to call them but i hope you know what i mean) on a very unlucky location. after that just about every metallic thing sometimes turned into a handy receiver and you could hear distorted sounds mostly. in the curch there were even voices coming out of the organ. first they thought it was a demon lol but then someone had the idea that it could be the tower. they removed it and everything stopped. this i think could also happen if there is lots of metal and devices and such a tower (or a radio tower) is near.

Yeah, basically there are certain "ideal conditions" for things to output a radio signal ; a radio really isn't a complex digital electronics device, it's just a couple coils and a circuit to amplify the signal and output to the speakers.

Once something catches the signal and vibrates, anything can act as a radio.
