Title: Hello. I'm new to these forums!
Post by: SeekersLegacy on January 21, 2012, 17:03:16
Hello. First I just wanted to say, i have no idea if this is where I should post an introduction topic.

I just joined the forums today and found out about Astral projection very recently this week. I downloaded the I-doser app for the iphone and saw they had things like OBE and AP. Thing is, I haven't used I-doser to get me into an AP state of mind at all. I saw the name and the description and, interested I did some research and WOW! AP sounds pretty amazing and not like anything I could have really ever imagined and now I am very interested in learning more about AP and how to do it. Of course I understand not to expect instant results and then not get frustrated and give up. I've done some reading. Now, I'm just looking for a starting point. I am 22 years old though if that means anything.

So yeah I am new here and look forward to talking with people. Yes I know this is only my first post and well, that shouldn't mean anything. I'm only saying so because I've read little bits of these forums and I've seen "low post count" used as some sort of rebuttal as if that would have any baring on anything, since everyone here started with only one post. I'm just saying I hope I don't have to go through that.

Looking forward to talking with people and finding my footing in this subject and learn how to do this, even if I have a lot of trouble.

Welcome to Astralpulse!

Just search one of the method, try it, tell from it, and ask questions.

Many posts does not mean, that a person is good for something. And honouring of the posting counter leads to strange results. In a well known german Forum about esoterics are several people with 20.000 + Posts. Spams, provocations, senseless critics without intention to make any discussion. But these are not kicked out,... no they are even honoured for their posts (By other peple with the same intention.... getting good places in the "highscore table"). You can imagine what for a crap this german forum for the real interested users is. It is nowadays hard to write something without being disturbed by several useless till provoking posts of these people. So better dont even think about honouring (only) the counter.

Well I'm going to make my very first attempt tonight with no expectations of any results whatsoever. More like a practice run but we all start somewhere. :)

Hallo SeekersLegacy and welcome
You should by all means experiment with different products that might help you get out of body. I might recommend trying either hemisync CDs or a binaural beats program. I have used both and found both to helpful for getting in the right hypnagogic stateof  mind prior to going out of body.
If you have any success with the i-doser then please make a post about it here. I have never tried that but have heard some unusual stories regarding it.

Well I took a shot at my first attempt using binaural beats. The entire time I was just lying there completely still with my eyes closed. After awhile my arms and legs felt sort of funny and other times I would nearly doze off. For now, I will chalk this up to just lying still for so long instead of signs of nearing AP. Don't want to over-excite myself.
