insecurities, social phobia, and astral projection

i have social anxiety. i was hoping that if i could astral project maybe i could find some help or guidance. i dont have many friends, ied like to make more, im a pretty funny guy too, but im way shy and its virtually impossible to get to know me because of my anxiety prevents me from ever truely being down to earth and having normal conversation with people without feeling okward, insecure, and weak. does anyone know if its possible to get help in the astral? also one more thing. i was wondering if it was possible for anyone who can astral project, to see if they can find out information on my problem in the astral. since i cannot consciously AP at the moment from lack of skill. I was just wondering if anyone could pull up some information on my problem or what to do. i havent found anything useful here in the physical world in the past 3 years except drugs but i hate taking them to just feel "normal" around people. thanks

I agree mostly in the fact that there is no quick fix in the astral BUT in the astral, after you get a good hang of it, can be used to simulate almost any situation you would experience during waking life perfectly.  Every time I phase into a really vivid scenario where I am at work or around people I always take a moment to look at them and notice just how real they seem.  In my mind there is no separation between the realness of the physical and the realness of the astral, its just that one is persistent and the other isnt.  Its fun to phase and do things that are wild and crazy.  Its a good release and there are no real consequences (atleast none I have encountered  :shock: ).  Good luck with your situation and there really isnt any need for anxiety or depression.  I get depressed sometimes too but whenever I get over it for a while I think "hey, what was I all bummed out for??"

I've had many of the same problems: shyness, social anxiety. nervousness. People always told me "your so quiet" to where I wanted to punch them, but was way too timid to do it. :wink: But since learning/attempting AP it's really dropped out of my life. The main reason isn't any actual AP/OBE experience, but the dropping of fears. After leaving my body a few times and experiencing things outside of the physical world, I realize that there is NOTHING to fear. And it's not just a common-sense knowledge, but a deep understanding. It's not a quick-fix like popping a Prozac, but it's a long-term fix.

What I'm saying is you don't have to leave your body and ask for guidance from a spirit guide or have a special astral experience. Just keep practicing on a regular schedule and it should work itself out. 2005 has really been a good year for me because I've been practicing on a daily basis, and for the first time since a child have been able to do things anxiety-free. I think I could even do a TVOS and jump out of an airplane.
