I really need help. Since I was a small child I've been having flying dreams; very lucid, exhilarating ones. I've been doing as much research as I can and discovered that I've been unconsciously projecting myself astrally. Since then, I've been trying to do it on a conscious level and have been somewhat successful at times.

On a few of the more recent occasions I've had the deep and distinct impression that I was being followed and monitored by beings that had nothing but good will towards me.

But a few days ago I had a VERY bad experience. I was going along and these dark, black beings that resembled disjointed balls were following me to my side and back. I couldn't remember what they they were saying but I do know it was vulgar, insulting, and demeaning. The one thing that I could make out from them was that basically, I was not going to be protected forever and eventually they would get me.

It was a very frightening experience. I almost quit ever trying to project again because I don't want to go through that again. However, I'm learning so much about myself and other than that incident, I've been at such peace with myself; more than I've ever been.

I'm not asking for protection. I want to stand up for myself and be assertive by learning to protect myself. But I don't know where to start.

Can anyone help?

They're provoking you, trying to get a certain reaction out of you which translates as more energy for them. Humans generate a lot of emotional energy and so it makes sense that from time to time, depending on how "empowered" we are that attacks may come, it's how they feed.

Humans, because we generate an energy so potent and have an imagination so powerful, are more than capable of "standing up" for ourselves.

A lot of the people here will tell you to fight fire with fire but that's not going to work. Give them a reaction they weren't expecting, dare I say it, send them "love" and watch what happens. Typically they themselves start to feel frightened and their energy seems to get more intense, they're pulling out all the stops so to speak in order to paralyze your creative mind with fear. Keep sending them "light", or energy of a high vibration. They have 2 choices, be transformed or find a place with darker shadows to hide in. If you can laugh at it, not out of fear, that also raises your energy level.

They do everything they can in order to make you doubt yourself, it's the only weapon they have. You can let the energy pass through you or you can claim it, but claiming anything intended to induce fear is obviously going to affect you in a negative way. You can be passive, but they sometimes keep pressing you. Send them something they don't want to see from you and know that they can't stand in the light very long. It's about self-control, bravery doesn't come into this. Don't confront them out of fear or anger, it's the same thing to them.

Edit: You don't have to respond but you can say "let's talk about something else", that always gets an interesting reaction. During one confrontation an entity was so desperate to get to me that it said "if you don't let me in I'll enter your dog", knowing how much I love my pets.

Just start smiling and then keep on smiling, easier said than done perhaps but if you're serous about ending this then you might consider it at some stage rather than being fearful every time you "get out".

I remember one time when I was out it felt like someone was sucking the life out of me or energy. It was almost painful and very draining.

Thanks Zanate. :-) Your advice makes perfect sense. Giving them a negative confrontational response would only be counterproductive.

My wife had noticed a big change in my aura since I've been worrying about it; saying it was fluctuating alot. Makes sense, as I haven't exactly been sleeping well since. Tonight I'm going to try your advice. I've got a good feeling about it.

By the way, what are these dark astral beings exactly? Quite a few times I've found that I find myself awake but can't move and I have this dark shadowy presence hovering over me and pining me down. I've learned how to deal with THEM, but I'm wondering, are the two are somehow related?

Everyone has their own theories regarding them. Some say that our subconscious creates them for whatever reason, whether it's spiritual evolution, bringing fears to the surface so you can "cleanse" yourself, becoming balanced so to speak or simply something "outside" of yourself, trying to find a way to survive.

They can be thought forms which have become detached from you, trying to sap energy to sustain cohesion (depending on their manner and the original energy involved in creating them). Thought = action and it manifests itself in many ways. The more you focus on something, the more energy you feed it, whether it's a problem, process or entity of another kind. The idea is to achieve balance and raise your consciousness, that's going to be vital with everything coming our way in the future. Watch your thoughts and note your reactions, try to guide them but don't obsess over control. The objective is to flow naturally while increasing your buoyancy in the energy of today, no need to get pulled under so to speak.

Sleep paralysis can be uncomfortable from my limited experience with it, call upon another energy to watch over you in your daily life. Ask your guides, whether or not you believe in them doesn't matter, the fact is they're connected to you on a level most people don't realise.

In all this, in case you're wondering, whether it's you or something else, everything you're going through is "real". It doesn't matter if you create it or not. You wouldn't be posting on a forum about it if it wasn't "real" and if it wasn't "real" you most certainly wouldn't be affected by it. Something else that's interesting, money is real to alot of people but not to some others, in the same way this forum is real to some but not the rest. Don't let anyone tell you it's not "real" or you'll get very confused. Just realise what you can do about it.

I suggest buying this book. There are negative beings out there that range from insect like entities that feed on your energy, all the way to Enormously powerful Daemons. Even the Lucifer himself.

This will help you understand them and defend yourself from them. But also you do have protectors. Friendly guardians that will do what they can to keep these things from harming you. But know for every good there is an equally powerful evil that's all to real. These things are even worse than anything that can affect you in the physical body because we are talking about your immortal being. If they get to you, you could be left to bare the emotional scars of the experience for God knows how long. I don't want to scare you. You should continue with your attempts to project because you can learn SO MUCH from it that you cant even imagine. Good luck and enjoy it. :D

Don't bring Lucifer into this and try to keep out the concept of power as it implies a struggling mentality in a place there doesn't need to be one.

Lucifer is not objectively "real" and it has no power over you unless you surrender it thereby strengthening the concept.

Any "evil" you find is spawned as a result of human consciousness and little else. You are therefore equipped to deal with it.

The more you read about that sort of thing, the more nervous you will become.

The more you read about people telling you not to do certain things, the more likely it is you'll do them.

As for daemons, if you encounter a "daemon" you need to ask yourself what the hell you were doing to vibrate so low.

Fear lowers your vibration.

Enough of this about Lucifer, if you want to see Lucifer then you'll have to attach yourself to another mindset.

As for the book, "Astral Dynamics", it's a good starting point, don't limit your progress to someone else's experience(s) and be ready to move on.

cecilguy:

I don't mean to disrespect the others' advice, but you could examine this matter from the 'Phasing' model of consciousness. Under this doctrine, it sounds to me like you're in 'Focus 2 of Consciousness', where you have an objective view of the happenings in your mind. The effects that the others are talking about when trying to overcome these 'entities' (as Zante mentioned) could be a purely psychological manifestation of your own inability to overcome your own subconscious fears, which are foreign to your consciousness. We see this principle in psychology all the time: the more you try and overcome a fear, the more strength the fear gains because you are paying attention to it and giving it significance.

In F2oC, all of this takes place within your own consciousness, not in an external world with 'Negs' floating around. Like Zante suggested, the important thing to remember is that 'thought=action' For instance, you may have had the experience of flying while projecting, and suddenly second-guessing your ability to fly, then...crash! So if your subconscious mind has drummed up these strange beings to represent some fear or doubt, the way to deal with them is to realize it in your lucid consciousness.

This will change these demons from powerful, mysterious beings into whatever you want them to be, because once their true natures are realized, you realize it is yourself you are fighting with. Maybe try thinking of them as gobstoppers and increase the size of your head so that your mouth is big enough to eat them if you want. Similarly, the idea of 'giving the creatures love' could be interpreted simply as increasing your own conscious positivity, and therefore overcoming your subconscious fears as it's manifested in these creatures. The mind is a powerful thing after all.

Here is a excerpt from Frank Kepple's second newsletter:

Focus 2 of consciousness is what is commonly known by psychologists, as your "sub conscious" but there is nothing "sub" about it. Focus 2 is where most people do their dreaming, lucid dreaming, their "astral projecting", their meeting up with all manner of demons and devils, etc. Focus 2 of consciousness contains all manner of personal faculties such as your memory and your imagination. Without Focus 2 of consciousness we simply wouldn't be able to think rationally or create anything within the physical. It holds all our belief constructs that we happen to subscribe to. And it is this latter point that is rather interesting.

You can actually project within Focus 2 of consciousness and objectively view representations of your very own belief constructs that you hold. However, taking on board the fact that people typically think that this area of consciousness (to them the Astral) is a separate place, the Astral will actually become whatever you believe it is! This simple fact, unbelievably, has been the source of thousands of years of confusion as regards the wider reality.

If you are interested in the Phasing construct, look it up on the AP FAQ Topics, and read the back issues of the newsletter here:

 On a side note to Zante, I'm not sure I agree with the claim that it doesn't matter whether you believe in their objective existence or not; for instance the 'negs' are not found in F3oC, the area inhabited by the souls of the deceased. The difference is that the souls encountered here obviously are of their own mind, i.e. they do not operate under the thought=action principle, so I might be more inclined to say that they are not objectively distinct, but merely subjectively distinct.

Sorry about the length of the post, but it's just so damn interesting!!!
