Hey everybody, my name is James and I've been messing with Astral Projection for a few months now. I have had four experiences, once of which just occurred.

Every time I astral project or come close (I'm not sure I have totally done it yet), I enter what I think people call the vibrational state (vibrations and auditory hallucinations). All four times it has happened while I was taking a nap.

Today I reached that point where I felt I was in the vibrational state, and I had the sinking feeling in my stomach. I felt as if I was very close, but when I lost focus these symptoms disappeared. I was able to sort of focus/forget what was going on to get them back. As I got loser to gettin out of my body it felt like my ears were about to pop, almost painfully. But I couldn't get them to pop and I really didn't get past the vibrational state. Im not quite sure I ever have?

I was hoping someone could recommend some things for me to try when in this state. I want to get out and walk around!

Much love,
James

Welcome to the Astral Pulse James!  :-)

Here's a good place to start. The stickies have quite a bit of useful information for first explorers.

You may want to give the video a listen to as well. This man is extremely knowledgeable in this field of study.

Next time when you are feeling like you are sinking, go along with it.  Feel like you are sinking and very shortly you will be sinking.  You will be out of your body into some place.

Welcome to the Pulse, James.
You could imagine being on a rollercoaster or scuba diving to assist the feeling. A bit of feedback that's related to the feeling can help.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Thanks for all your input everyone! Next time I get this feeling I will try to go with and use imagery to help me go along.

Here's a tip.

When trying to AP, instead of anticipating what is gonna happen next, try to just experience the current moment. When you stop wondering where you can go, you can be amazed at where you're at.

Seriously.

Good luck
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

I will give this a go next time :)

I made it a little farther today! I was in the vibrational state again, and as someone told me to do I just said "good" and kept going. I had the incredible sensation of my arms rising out of my body (almost to a zombie-like position) and then it was all over and I knew i reached some next level or something. It felt as if the sensation lead to a consistent place.

I next opened my eyes and saw the room around and me figured that I had opened my physical eyes. I then decided to go back to bed and sleep. But when I woke up I realized that THAT was the first time I had opened my physical eyes. And it occurred to me that I have opened my eyes a few times and then went to sleep. Next time I've decided I will just get up and walk around the first time I open my eyes no matter what.

Does anyone else feel blind after the vibrational state? If so what do you do?

This is the first time I have had two experiences back to back in two days. Thank you all so much for all of your advice. It is so cool that there is an active community about this, and I hope to help other people once I've learned a bit more.

Much love,
James

 Congratulations James!  :-)

I always love hearing about people's success. Keep a Journal on your progress.

The sense of being "blind" after the vibrational state is caused by the fact that you are between Realities.

It's kind of like the "twilight zone" where there is only a deep dark void. This is when you can jumpstart your adventure with a visual intended destination or scenario.

Example: A nice quite beach scene. First you see just the ocean from a point of view. Enjoy that visual. Then ALLOW it to expand from there. Maybe a crab goes by your foot, or you hear a voice in the distance. It could be some kids enjoying a game of volleyball or maybe a Frisbee lands at your feet.

ALLOW it to morph and jump right in!  :-)

Hey, thank you! I will keep this and mind and try later today. What I would really like to do with AP is walk around where I already am. If I have one goal with AP it is to see my own body on my bed or couch, and then go find my dad around the house or outside. What do you all think about this?

Much love,
James

I think it would be a great.  Do not stay too long looking at your body as you may get zapped back into yourself.
