How can you tell if people/entities are 'real'?

I know that most of the people/entities I've been encountering are projections from my mind. Has anyone been able to distinguish between what are real and what are not?

Bedeekin

Poke them... if they scream... they are real.  :-D

Seriously... You should test them. Find out yourself if they are real. Ask them.. you will get interesting answers.

He he! Have you ever poked any of them? If so, what happened?  :-D

I've never actually asked any of them if they're real but recently two of the main characters told me about themselves. One of them told me he was 'extraphysical' and the most recent was a school boy, with yellow teeth and strange looking eyes, who told me he was dead and had a pretty sad life in foster care. Pretty sure they're constructs of my mind. However, next time, I'll ask them if they're real. Have you ever asked any of your dream characters if they're real? If so, what reactions did you get?

Constructs of your mind? Do you know anyone school boy with strange eyes and yellow teeth that is in foster care? Have you watched any movies, read any books based on this? Where do you get the idea it's constructs of your mind? Are they saying anying pertinent to you and your situation? Are you helping the boy?

These are all good questions to ask now that the scenario is over with. Next time you are there, ask them as well what their purpose is.

You will likely be surprised by the answer!

Well, no, I don't know any boys of that description, funnily enough! I know I did help him a lot because he was sad and him and all the other school kids in the school that I went to couldn't fly, so it brought them great joy watching my 'flying display' and the boy was loving flying about on my back. Interestingly enough, I work with children in real life, helping to bring them happiness. Next time, though, I will certainly ask more questions.

haha... no... not on purpose.

I interact with other people and entities whenever I can and whenever it seems fitting. On occasions I have tried to communicate and they couldn't see me or chose to ignore me. Other times they come to me. I usually ask them who they are and try to create some sort of dialogue. I tend to try to work my way into their 'group' or daily business by trying to play along... like you would if you didn't want to stick out like a sore thumb. I can usually tell that I am creating them when they do what I want them to do or do something I would expect... or if they look a certain way. I'm very attuned to my imagination and subconscious... I use it for my job... so even though sometimes I get dragged into thinking they are real they slip up by being predictable. Most of the time I don't think about it that much whether they are real or not. I only assess what I got from the experience of interacting with them. Was it useful to me or did it lead to more questions.

I think by discussing this you have already worked out your answer.

Regardless of whether they are real or not you still got a sense of compassion for the boy. This is good either way.

hahaha :-D

I was tapping my grandma on the shoulder shouting when I was in an OBE once... She was feeding the dogs. I re entered my body after being tackled "gently" by a female entity who said "I'm so proud of you Cody!" MY grandma had no clue I was tapping her and shouting in her face to try and get her attention.

I went upstairs and to my amazement was wearing the same clothes as in the OBE and had two dog bowls in her hands.  Was an amazing verification  :-D

I must remind myself not to ask, "What does it all mean?" The last thing I want is eye rolls in the astral.  I don't think I could ever project again. Maybe they have a FAQ somewhere in the Akashik Records. Or a "Meaning of Life for Dummies."
"Am I just in heaven or Las Vegas?"

They must get tired of answering the same questions over and over again too, lol. That reminds me of the post by Bedeekin named "Teaching Fatigue".

Honestly?  You might never know.
Become comfortable with the concept that you might never know.

And seriously... who cares if they're 'real'.  It doesn't matter if they come from outside or inside you... ask yourself did you gain anything from the experience?

If yes, then it doesn't matter where it came from because you learned something new.
If no, then ignore it because it doesn't matter where it came from anyway.

I'd say there's a huge difference between having a relationship with an imaginary character and a real being.

Thanks for your responses. I'm really interested to hear peoples' opinions about this. I guess we could also ask, how do we know our waking existence is 'real', too.....?

There is a huge difference between them when you look at it that way.  No argument there.  :)
You COULD look at it that way, for sure.  Perfectly fine perspective to have.

However, you could also look at it with the perspective that something good is coming out of it or you learned something from the experience.  In the grand scheme of things, knowing "for a fact" that something is real (outside yourself) or not (from within), really doesn't matter in the slightest.

Just different ways of looking at it.
