How I did my first OBE

One other thing, people have said that when they first project they can't see anything until they're a fair distance from the body.

I think what is happening is they've projected into an infradimension where your intentions have the opposite effect. If they are intending to see, then they'll go blind. Probably after a short period they stop intending so much and they can see again.

So, it's not the distance from the body but the time it takes to give up the intention of sight.

Two ways around this are:

1.) Elevate your vibrational level by leading a happy life so you project into the astral and not an infradimension.

2.) Practice blanking your mind during meditation so when you first project you likely have no intentions whatsoever, so there's nothing to be oppositified by the infradimension.

I've found that the more I blank-mind meditate, the more blank my mind is in physical life. There's no background chatter any more, and I feel more like I'm a consciousness that's in a body rather than before where I felt I _was_ my body.

The benefit is you always then intend what you want to think, rather than thoughts just being uncontrolled reactions to the outside world.

i don't think i have ever heard of a "infradimension".

can you tell me more of this please ?

thanks,

take care!

Colin

Cheers cube! I don't know if you've read Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics- from your mention of the "Clarity now!" command I assume you're familiar with Buhlman- but in AD Bruce talks about the Real Time Zone, a sort of buffer zone between the physical and the astral. People usually project into the RTZ first, unlike astral phasing or lucid dream conversion directly into the astral. It is, however, possible to move into the astral from the RTZ in a number of ways, by flying at hyperspeed (so that your vision blurs) or even pure focused intent, among others. So in other words, don't be disappointed by projecting into your "infradimension"- just try and come up with ways to move beyond that will work for you. Best wishes in your future endeavors!

Good day Colin and shedt!

I can't remember or find the page where I got the term infradimension but it seems to describe the experience pretty well. The idea is there is a whole gradient of planes of experience, we usually talk about higher planes like the astral but there are also less energetic and even denser planes than 3D, these are called infradimensions.

Here are two pictures on this idea:

If I wind up there again, I will try to force myself out of it and into a higher realm. I had a lucid dream a while ago where I suddenly decided to walk out of the building I was in and fly up into the bright white light in the sky, I had a powerful rush of kundalini through my body as I went higher; it became so strong that I blacked out in the dream and woke up in the physical. So I agree that it is possible to command yourself to go into a higher vibrational realm but there are limits to the amount of energy our souls can absorb before losing coherency or possibly even breaking apart.

I think that the reason I projected into a lower realm is because that where my soul already was because there's more negative than positive in my physical life. When I projected, my spiritual focus moved out the physical and moved to where my soul was residing which was in a lower realm.

So it's not so much a matter of 'projecting' as it is refocusing to where an aspect of yourself already is.

The use of this is it's a way to gauge how spiritually developed you are, and if my soul feels most comfortable in a minor hell then it means I've got a lot of work to do.

A lot of the other people on this board seem to be having negative experiences when they project, I think it's really a matter of improving your life in the physical in order to have positive experiences when projecting.

One last thing regarding negative entities. They just want to scare you and if they can't scare you they get bored and go away.

You can tell if a person is a neg by trying to look at their face, if they always keep it hidden then they're a neg and you can banish them simply by challenging them to show their face. If they won't, then they'll just leave you alone if you do that.

There may be negs that will show their face, but if they won't do it then you know for sure they're a neg.

Happy projecting!

I've actually had them before but I wasn't consciously aware that it was really an OBE and not a lucid dream, so I don't count them. This one is memorable because I actually experienced leaving the body rather than just appearing is some random place in the world.

I hadn't planned on doing an OBE, it just happened. I was unable to get to sleep until about 3 am. I woke up several times, around 9 I 'woke' and found that I was had sleep paralysis so I decided to make an OBE attempt. I tried to remember the dream I had just had an saw that it was one of the "downloading" dreams I have from time to time where it's just a rapid stream of unrelated images of diagrams, people, landscapes, everything being flashed before me one after the other really fast without any sound.

The tricky thing about OBEs is that when you open your eyes you're not sure if it's your physical or astral eyes you're seeing through. I had had an OBE before where I thought was actually just be laying in my physical bed, so I wound up wasting the OBE opportunity.

This time I opened my eyes and looked forward very carefully and it seemed like things were a little different. I got up out of my body and was overjoyed that I had finally done it!

My body seemed a longer and thinner, I seemed to be moving in slow-mo.I tried to make a ki ball in each hand and found that I got dull blue green balls of light rather than white balls. Looking around everything looked dull dark teal and I realized I was in an infradimension and not the astral.

My room was a little larger and filled with more junk, I tried to turn on my computer monitor but it wouldn't do anything. I tried to open the window blinds but the blind cord was embedded in the blinds and wouldn't move. I looked though the blinds and it was the normal scene except dreary and creepy.

I wanted to brighten things up so I did the 'Clarity now!' command. I was surprised to find that my vision actually blurred! After I stopped intending clarity my vision went back to normal.

I think in an infradimension your intents wind up having the opposite effect of what you want.

I didn't really have a desire to continue the OBE and it ended then, I was ecstatic that I had OBEd but realized there was something wrong if I projected into an infradimension and not the astral.

I think I need to improve my outlook in order to raise my vibration level to the point where I can project into the astral.

I haven't done many of the exercises that are recommended for OBEs, to prepare for the OBE I've just been blanking my mind totally when I meditate. I lay down, think some positive thoughts, blank my mind for 15 minutes or however long I feel like it, then get up.

I have noticed a difference between seeing images in my third eye verses images in my imagination. Third eye images seem to be located in front of my forehead about an inch into space and above the eyes. Imagined images seem to be located in the eyes themselves or behind them in my head.

I think that is actually an important thing to look for when you start the OBE, are you opening your imagination eyes or your third eye? If it's your third eye, then it's an OBE.
