Hi,

I'm new here myself.

Sleep paralysis and follow-on experiences that people call Out-of-Body-Experiences, are actually very common. I have not heard of anyone dying during one of these experiences. I do not believe you could easily be harmed.

There's generally two schools of thought on the subject. Some think it is the human brain creating a very real experience. Others believe it really is non-physical travel beyond the earthly body.

As for being scared, it's something everyone has to deal with in their own way. I lost most of my fear when i realised that everything is of God.

Understanding more about what is happening to you will naturally easy much of your fears. In that regard i think you've come to the right place.

People enjoy it because you can step out of your physical body when it happends.

Jeez, I don't know where to begin - I think I could write a book;

This is my first time here.  I stumbled here by mistake.

I had a very weird experience while sleeping when I was about 17.  They have been reocurring  ever since (I'm 30).  They are very scary and just to weird to share with anyone, but after reading some postings I have found others have similar experiences.

Some people even seem to enjoy it?

This is what I know:

Caffine increases frequency (but lack of caffine does not make it stop)

Clove or Sesamee seed oil will help remember more (NOT GOOD TO TAKE, RESEARCH)

When you are paralysed and want to wake up (or "get out") just try to relax and concentrate all your efforts on moving a single extremity (such as your big toe); you will wake quickly (but not quick enough if you are like me).

White noise such as a fan does weird things.  The sound transforms as you go deeper.

This is what I don't know:

WTF is this?  Why am I "projecting"?  I don't try to - - I try NOT to.
Can I die from this?
Why have some people seen beings there?  (I have not, though I've been spoken to)
Are there any scientific studies on involuntary sleep paralysation and how to stop it?
Or is their a way to at least quit being scared; I've tried hard but no matter, I'm overcome with fear.

A voice told me that "everyone comes here" when they sleep.  Is this believed true, in general (where was I, I couldn't see - but I could here a giant sphere of whispering voices).

A voice told me he would show me "seven places", and I woke.  This paticular instance has happened twice in the last 3 or 4 years.  Is this common?
