Phasing Yesterday

I call it phasing, not sure exactly what to call it, but yesterday I meditated for an hour right after work. I had a really sore throat, had been tired all day, and was definitely getting sick, so I wanted to meditate and try to heal myself that way. Not sure if it had any effect, but I'm definitely feeling better...should be 100% by tomorrow. Maybe it was the 8 grams of vitamin C :)

Anyway, after 5/10 mins I started getting the usual hypnagogic imagery, but this time it was especially vivid. I don't know about you guys, but for me it always starts with light areas (usually purple) swirling around, and against that light backdrop, I see smoky figures swirling, transforming, like smoke. The edges of these figures are very sharp and distinct.

At one point a single point of light came from the distance toward me, fast, and as it got "near" me it transformed into a beautiful woman's face. Absolutely gorgous, calm, and in my mind I said, "Wow, you're absolutely beautiful! I love the form you've chosen!" It only lasted a split second but it was vivid...maybe more vivid than "real life".

Soon after, against a lit-up background I saw the black smokiness transform into a large hand with the pointer finger up, and it was giving me the "come hither" motion. Suddenly, below the hand everything lit up bright, all different colors, and the colors transformed into stars, nebulae, galaxies, etc...and they were passing below the hand (still motioning me to come hither) at a very high speed. I was traveling with the hand, perspective-wise, but couldn't enter the scene.

I've seen this before when AP'ing after awakening in the middle of the night, and I was able to focus and join the scene, feeling myself getting sucked into the tunnel, and ending up in some random NPR environment. This time though I was too aware of my body, and although I did really want to go there and be sucked into the tunnel, I couldn't.

Really cool experience nonetheless, but any tips for this kind of situation? Any tricks to be able to "join the scene" and get "sucked in"?

Still haven't consciously met my guide, at least I don't remember doing so, but I get the sense that the woman and the hand were my guide(s). Throughout I kept asking to meet him/her/them, asking for help, and I figure he/she/they were trying to help me with the hand motion. There was no discernable communication though, which is what I wanted.

Congratulations, that is definitely what i call Phasing!  :-)

You seem to be doing fine, but the only tip I would give you is to ALLOW yourself to become completely immersed in the scenario.

Walk right in! If there's a ball or something, grab it. If there's a person, talk to them. Become a part of the scene, instead of just watching it.

Interact with it.

When you do this, you will find that you will become part of the scenario and get "sucked in".

Once in, do some grounding techniques to stay there. Like for instance, rub your hands together or blow on them. Try to touch something. Every little bit helps draws you in further.

Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

Thanks - it was more of a celestial setting, not really one I could interact with. Rather, one that is more difficult to imagine interacting with. I tried getting sucked into the tunnel but failed. I had strong intent, saying repeatedly in my head, "I want to go with you!" or "Take me with you!" and stuff like that. Well hopefully I'll be able to try again today on my lunchbreak.

I know this might not make sense to you now, but it will in the future.

Don't say you want ot go with them, just go with them.

Believe it or not, there is a huge difference between saying and doing.

Reach for those stars. See yourself in the tunnel. What do the tunnel walls look like? What does it feel like to be in that tunnel?

Are you flying, spinning, twisting, through it or are you just watching it?

Do you see what I'm doing here?

Chaki

I like it. Thanks lionheart
