Hey there people, ive been trying to project for so damn long now and still got nowhere, but then again its all about patience.
Anyway, recently, in maybe the last 3 or 4 days, every night ive lay there in bed, relaxing, when i enter the hypnogogic state, i get flashes of dreams i'd had yeeaaars ago, im talking from like 6-10 year, ago, and im only 17. Anyway, i was wondering why these are suddenly coming to me so randomly, it is quite amazing cos i remember them in amazing detail but the most random images and dreams pop into my head.

I kinda quit smoking the heeerb about 1 month ago, could it have something to do with that? I mean my conscious mind has been cleared to an amazing level i never thought could happen, thoughts are clearer and memories workin great. I thought it may have something to do with this, as ive never had these old dreams pop into my head so vividly. Im not complaining, i do actually quite enjoy reminiscing on the strange and wonderful dreams i used to have, when the imagination was so much more vivid.

Or, could i be really lucky and could this be a sign im getting closer to projecting ;)

hehe, thanks for any help answering these questions.

Hi -E-

For the longest time, I've been that close to remembering old dreams.  Sometimes during the day, a tiniest flashback of a dream will enter my mind and then zoom away like lightning as soon as I try to grab hold of it.

I know I have a recurring one that I can't quite put into words.  It's so utterly annoying.

And to let you know, I'm an avid dreamer.  When I'm actively writing my dream journal, I can have an average of 4-5 dreams per night, all epics in themselves.  It can take me all day to write them down!!

No idea whether it's got anything to do with the weed.  I know people who stop dreaming when they're smoking, and people who stop dreaming when they stop smoking.

My advice would be to start a dream journal, if you haven't already.  And that advice is for myself too.  I've been very slack lately and have not been remembering my dreams

I'll consider your post as a kick up the backside for me to start writing them down again... thanks!   :multiblob:

lol, you see ive been the same, i was making a good journal for the last 2 weeks, now im slacking, and my dreams are becoming less vivid and memorable, im gonna take ure advice and start my journal again, cheers :D

one reason for people not remember dreams as theyr smokin is because smokin puts you in a much deeper sleep than normal, you wake up refreshed, but could never remember a dream lol, cheers.

Hi -E-

It's so damn important to write our dreams down.  I had two in my memory in the last 2-3 days, wanting to get them down on the computer.

Your post triggered me to write them down.  I've remembered one of them (vaguely), but the other has completely gone!  I'm so annoyed.  It was there only a couple of days ago, in full waking life (so hopefully it will come back to me), but for now it's vamooshed.

I find that going through all the people you know tends to trigger some memories, because we often dream about our friends and family.

I'm determined to be more disciplined this time...

hehe good choice man, it did kinda amaze me how by simply writing the dreams down, you could actually remember dreams so much more vividly too, i mean, just generally. I got some important exams right now, but as soon as they're done, the journals coming back out!

Yeah I have been going over the past few months trying to nail down why my OBEs have stopped coming so frequently and why my dreams are only just picking back up.  I havent been keeping a journal!!!     All my most vivid and amazing experiences come after a period of me keeping track of everything and writing it all down.  Its funny because I have a journal I have been using since day one of my OBE's at my bed side and im just too lazy to write them down.  Time to get started again I think!

To the original post:

I have been experiencing for the past few years something similar to what you are talking about.  Sort of a collection of all my past experiences and moments in my life when I was OBE'ing before I even knew  it existed.  Back when I was about 9 I had an OBE about a UFO outside my window.  I woke up and rushed downstairs and drew it and showed it to my parents and told them I saw it outside my room.  They just stared at me and could see I wasnt lying.  At the time I thought it really WAS a UFO but recently I experienced something like an epiphany where I was laying in bed meditating and that experience popped into my head.  I basically relived it and suddenly realized that it was an RTZ projection.  I also have recalled about 3 dreams I remember in the past that scream OBE but I wasnt aware of it.  Its a learning process that will continue for me and hopefully for you.

I too had stopped writing about anything that wasn't a full-fledged OBE, I just wasn't satisfied... But being "hard on yourself" only helps to create mental blocks!

I started going to bed with a notebook next to me again, and behold what I found written on it this morning:

House w/out death
Brokeback Mt
Some bar thingy

I remember writing that stuff, but hell if I know what they were about :p
OBE counter: Lost track! 35+ since 3/21/2006

Selski

LOL Kiwibonga!  Mebbe they'll come back to you eventually...

Why, kiwibonga, that's obvious! You dreamed of a house without death ( nobody can die while there), built on the Brokeback mountain, and you found some bar thingy!  :bouncy:

Maybe you were at the bar with those Brokeback mountain fellas ;)

hehe joke, but yeh man ive done that before, made notes at like 3 in the morning, woken up at about 10am and seeing some pretty random crap written my last one was:

Turk in Ford
Me hiding
Silver lollipop

Its annoying cos that sounds like a pretty bloody interestin dream lol.

Vilkate

Ah, and that's ever more obvious! You had stolen a silver lollypop and now hiding from an angry Turk who was chasing you in his car!  :laugh7:
