Hi all,

I had my first experience astral projecting last night, and I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight into my experience when I looked at myself in the mirror. Now, I must say that my vision was a little hazy -it was a struggle to pull myself out of my body the first time (I felt like I was fighting a vacuum effect that was trying to pull me back into my body), and when I tried to look around I almost felt like I had drunk vision. After deepening a bit, I decided to look at myself in the mirror. What I saw reflected was a less-detailed version of myself (again, my vision was hazy) although two surprising things that I remember seeing were 1) my eyes were red, and 2) I had these golden-coloured lines surrounding my shoulders and head (kind of like the lines that kids draw around a circle to make it look like a sun). I wasn't afraid of my reflection -my reaction was simply "huh. So THAT's what I look like."

I was trying to see if others had experiences of their astral bodies having red eyes, but all that came up when I did searches were frightening entities, and as I mentioned I didn't feel afraid, so it seems like I experienced something different. I'd love to hear any thoughts you may have!

Cheers,
Sarah

It's been a busy week for beginners succeeding.  :-)

You won't find answers on the internet. We are all different and have different subtleties within our experiences.

Looking in a mirror and seeing a warped version of yourself is very common... I was like the elephant man when I first looked and I had 4 arms.  :-D

Now I am normal... or rather I appear non-deformed.

what you see is down to personal interpretation and part of the fun of discovering your subconscious. You projected that image of yourself... nothing more. So what you should ask yourself is Why you think you saw that.

I think most will agree, that anything scary that is thrown at us during these explorations is a reflection of our own fears. It's called 'Projection'... we 'project' more than our consciousness... we project our fears also (among other things). It is like a barrier to get over... a test of mettle to be conquered. Nothing evil and/or satanic etc.

I would say... that the best thing is to not look at yourself in the mirror so that you don't get stuck in a loop of self reflection. (pun intended)

Thanks, Bedeekin, for your insightful and thought-provoking response! It seems I will have to spend some time looking for those answers within.

Hi and welcome to the Pulse.
Mirrors to me are a portal to wherever I choose. I don't want to see a detailed reflection as changes are typically apparent. Scared myself when young, the thought=action thing.
Enjoy the site, its a nice place to air your views and ask likeminded people questions without ridicule.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.
