New "Google Earth" Perspective

This morning instead of flying to my destination my astral body was static and I saw a Google Earth type of wider view which focused down to a view of a city and then a building and down to an office and then I found myself in the office. I've always wondered if an aspect of me was doing the traveling or if I was just projecting my consciousness and viewing it as you would pick a television signal (similar to how remote viewers 'see'). After this experience I'm thinking this is probably how it works and the flying sensation is just the mind trying to make sense of it tuning in to another location/dimension.

Well, IMO... we humans believe that to get from point A to point B there needs to be some kind of "movement" or "traveling" involved.
This "belief" actually carries over into the non-physical.  This is why we walk, run, fly, whatever around the environments we find ourselves in.

This isn't required... even the "zooming in/out" that you experienced is part of that "movement" and isn't required.  You can just shift from area to area, literally, with a thought.  Just change your Intent, and you should find yourself where ever you wanted to be.

We've all experienced this in a dream at one time or another... you're somewhere, then you think of something else and all of a sudden you're THERE.  Well, that's because your subconscious mind is in control and knows better that the "movement" factor is only a belief... it's a belief your subconscious mind doesn't hold.  It's only when we become consciously aware (lucid or astrally) that the movement factor seems to kick back in and you then find that you need to "move" to point B.

Although, I will say that the metaphor you've got there moving around using Google Maps is a great way to do it!
Just be aware that it is only a metaphor and it's not really required to move... it's just a tool you use to place your Intent towards moving to a different area.  :)

When I am en-route to my Astral Safe Zone, I first see it from afar (which does make it look like Google Earth), then i fly in for a landing, the next thing I find is that I am lounging in my beach chair. I never do see myself landing, standing up then sitting down in the chair. It's like I land then the next thing is I am automatically in the chair. But that is due to a new intent. From there the next intent comes into play and I am off again! My favorite scene is flying in the mountains, through waterfalls, then diving down to the waters below. I used to be afraid of heights, not anymore! :-)

I've had a similar effect (not all the time, it happens in clusters) and I've thought of the 'skip' effect also, or, that I've transferred into a bird's body (or a flock of birds' radar) and am getting the view from there.
But it's a very different experience from etheric projection, and I don't think they're the same.  If it were, you'd do this all the time (and believe me, I've tried) because it's more efficient- but it just doesn't happen that way for me-most of the time the 'whole' point of view of me projects.
