everynight for about a month i've been experiencing myself getting out of my body.
i've been trying to do this for years only succeeding a couple times and out of nowhere its been happening.
one of the first nights it happened I saw gargoyle-like creatures in my room, one on my ceiling and some flying around my room. and I had a lot of trouble getting into my body but finally was able to.
i've been desperately looking for something/someone on the internet that could help me understand what is going on.
nearly every night, i feel some sort of presence in my room. its definitely a male energy. and everynight ive been leaving my body and having tons of trouble getting back in. tonight, it happened again. I left my body and had trouble getting back in, only this time I got attacked by someone. male. looked like a normal human. but he put his hand over my mouth and tried to sort of push/drag me to the floor, and i was kicking him off of me and trying to get away and managed to get back into my body and i ran and turned the light back on. (lights make me feel safer.) i'm starting to become too afraid to sleep.
I think whoever I saw was the male energy i've been feeling in my room and seeing (when im awake i've been seeing some sort of shadowish person walking around my room.)
what do I do?
First thing is TRY to feel safe... get back that feeling...
If it is/was a human that has been visiting if you, if you did not ask it in (consciously or subconsciously) it likely has a connection to you for some reason. Whether it knows you personally, knows someone that knows you or sees some part of itself in you. It probably wants something from you... whether this is compassion or to let you know it's story.. whatever the reason doesn't matter too much unless you feel you can do some "ghost whisperer" thing and find out all it's troubles and it will move to the light..
But
i would:
- Attempt to practice presence and compassion. Especially when it is in your presence...
- Remove your fear of it... It is possible it has kept coming back after the first time because it has found you are scared of it.. STOP giving your power away to it... This may be difficult... But when in it's presence.. remain calm & centred
- When you sense it - ask it to leave (unless you want & feel you can help it) - remain calm, but state clearly that you do not appreciate what it is doing and that it must leave - if this doesn't work then...
- SMUDGE: When i have felt energies in the house, if they do not move simply - i do smudge my house using Frankincense, Myrrh, or Sandalwood - this is a simple exercise and i believe works through both the intention that is communicated through the physical act of smudging - the intention to clear (think "clear" while you do this), and that the energy of these compounds have a natural ability to raise the vibration and clear the energy in a room/house
If you do smudge do not think of the "being" for at least 3 days after you smudge.
IF it enters your mind after smudging for whatever reason, focus your attention elsewhere - preferably to something positive - a feeling whatever... This helps break any recreation of the occurrence and sends a message that you are not scared of it and that it is wasting its time trying to cause you harm... You could try this even if you choose not to smudge the house...
Be brave,
Hope something in here may help you,

This reply will sound completely stupid to most people....
Love it!! Seriously, find a reason to feel Love for it and then hug it, pour that feeling into it, it will leave you alone after that. If the only reason you can find to Love is that it is a being lost in it's choices for darkenss, then that reason will do perfectly.
The way I do this is described on my website, simply-spirit, so you might like to read up on the method first.
Another apect to consider is how it helped you during your struggle with it to get back into your body when you believed you were having trouble doing that. Seriously, again. If there is one thing I've learned in my almost 50 years of this life, is that "negs" actually help us by forcing us to have to find the power within to do what we need to do.
Have you read astral dynamics by robert bruce,It is a very informative book about 550 pages, kind of like an encyclopedia for the astral world .I think you might have experienced a Dweller he calls it.In his words the definition of a Dweller is A harmless but disturbing(often frightening)manifestation, where a projector is confronted by a dark, threatening being immediately after existing the physical body during an obe.You gotta face it and tell demand it to leave you alone.Im still working on getting into the mind awake body asleep state like i used too.But if I meet the Dweller when i get out i will face it and tell it to get lost or say a prayer.Robert bruce and his book astral dynamics has taught me alot of the astral world and things to expect and things to do etc.Id look into buying the book.Well goodluck to you you will be ok...............
Sorry for being slightly insensitive but you have been trying to project for years with little results and all of a sudden you can't even get through one night without projecting...sounds like a blessing in disguise to me.
Maybe before going to sleep you can ask your guides to help you out. And then when you get out ask them again.
Hope it works out

Haha yes you are right :-D :-D
Passion, I find your post very interesting, especially about the gargoyle like creature you have seen in your room. I would like to know if you noticed what its eyes looked like. I am not trying to trip you up here I am just wondering if we have seen the same type of entity? I have also seen what I describe to be a gargoyle like creature during an OBE. The first time I was quite frightened. It had wings and seemed to fly in an erratic manner – but it did not hurt me. The second time I saw this creature it was on my ceiling. It was as if it was observing me – like it wanted to see my reaction. I have to agree with astralrealmer in that you have to take control and tell it to go away. You don't even have to say the words. Thinking them is enough but be calm, firm, and direct. I was very calm and looked the entity in the eye and mentally said, "That's enough." And that is all it took and it left. I have not encountered this type of entity since.
The way you approach your OBE/Astral Projection will directly impact the experience. If you have fear you will find things to be afraid of and if you have peace then your experience will be better. During these experiences you are completely in control if you choose to be. Sometimes rituals help like putting a circle of white light around you before you try to have an OBE or before you go to sleep (just in case). I do believe in a protective white light. I do not have issues if I have performed this one simple step – it helps me to feel peace.
As for having a hard time getting back into your body, fear plays a part here also - the fear of not getting back in will make it seem difficult. I have had this same experience. It sometimes happens when you see your body and you feel fear because it is a strange sensation to be consciously aware of being "disconnected" from your body. However, when you finally found yourself back in your body, was it after you panicked? A strong emotion will jerk you back to your body. And when you found yourself back in your body, what happened? Did you go into a sleep state or did you open your eyes? What was the state of your body if you woke up after finding yourself back? What were your thoughts?
You will run into other beings at times when out of body. Most are just as curious about you as you are about them. And it all depends on the plane you enter as to what kinds of entities you come across. So your emotional state will strongly impact where you go and what you encounter.
I also highly recommend "Astral Dynamics" by Robert Bruce. And some of the best books I ever read were by William Buhlman. You might want to start with "Adventures Beyond the Body." It is written almost like a diary and very easy to follow. I had some of my best experiences when reading his books.
Hope this helps some.
