Hey guys. I'm just wondering if any of you guys have had similar experiences with meditation and astral travel. I've been meditating fairly regularly since last summer. I used to meditate as a child; and, while I seldom did so, I can recall intriguing experiences. Now I'm 21 and taking it more seriously... and trying to understand the experiences as they come. I'm blessed to have had countless of experiences with "astral travel" since the summer, but one specific experience (which I won't discuss in detail right now) changed my life in that it compelled me to investigate such phenomena while continuing on the path of spiritual progression (I have always been spiritual/religious). I'm not talking about lucid dreaming -- as I've had those my whole life and have been able to recall my dreams very vividly and control them on numerous occasions -- but rather I'm referring to leaving your body while sitting down, just laying down, or in a traditional meditative position.

Today, usually when I meditate (I'd say at least 7/10 times) I quickly find myself, initially, in the midst of what appears to be millions of swirling white stars in a black mass of space. Sometimes I'll focus on being one with that space and other times I'll just try my best to ignore it seeing as I don't really regard seeing these white stars as anything that important to my spiritual growth -- in other words, astral travelling isn't usually the purpose of my meditation. In any case, I often then find myself "remote viewing" (as I would identify it), being in the midst of planetary figures along with amazing rays and colors of light, seeing my 3rd eye, seeing my physical surroundings with my eyes closed, or falling asleep. The last time I was able to "project" to a specific place in mind at will (last time was my Grandmother's house in FL) was about 5 months ago... I remember the feeling well.. my room felt like it was spinning as I felt as if I was ripped out of this world... the feeling was so pronounced and intense that I reacted in a way that made me feel as if I was just thrown right back onto my bed, like an innocuous tornado had picked me up briefly and dropped me back upon my reaction. I basically immediately tried again (knowing the feeling to expect), and the same thing happened except I didn't react anxiously so as to abruptly fall back into my body. I ended up in the guest room, and then right after saw my Grams in the hall as she then looked towards me. I even feel as if I saw myself in the mirror of the bathroom in the hall (as the bathroom door is always open). ANYways, I ended up back in my body, here in my room in Canada.

I heard that the stars I'm describing are situated in the lower 4th dimension, or something to that effect?

Has anybody had similar experiences as a result of meditation? Even strengthened intuition/psychic abilities? (which are apparently by-products of meditation anyways)

Cheers  :-)

Hello Dean.

You are using your own terminology to describe what many call phasing. When I have an OOBE induced through a meditative state in which I never lost my awareness, I now refer to it as phasing as well. If I turn lucid during a dream and I leave that dream, I call it projecting. Most people consider remote viewing to be when they phase and see a worldly location in real time. I have never viewed the non physical reality as "the astral" and I have never put any time or effort into energy work or opening my third eye. I am open to it being helpful for others but I see it as unnecessary to my personal path. Whatever works for the individual is what's important IMO and you know what works for you. Belief is what makes everything so.

All your terms are fine. I'm not trying to reinvent language or terms here, but rather to get on the same page. Meditation without the intent to phase or project is one of the ways we experience different states of consciousness. Taking it another step and phasing is also a different state.

When we explore the non physical reality, we become aware of so much more that was closed off to us because of our mindset and disbelief. This includes all sorts of psychic phenomena. If you have experienced something that you once thought wasn't possible and don't know who to talk to, feel free to talk. Welcome to the Pulse.

This description sounds very similar to other descriptions of the 3D Blackness 'at' Focus 21

Thanks for your feedback guys!

Wow,  :-o never heard of phasing nor focus levels/points... I've been investigating the concepts following your responses and it's all very intriguing and informing  :-) .. my numerous experiences with meditation has definitely confirmed notions that I have long already held... now I'm interested in learning as much as I practically can about these experiences.

On another note, has anybody experienced seeing a triangle during meditation? I've fairly frequently been seeing a very distinct triangle in my mind's eye during meditation over the past few weeks. Has anybody had similar experiences or know what this triangle could mean??

... on to to the Pyramid question. I see Pyramids more in meditation, than I do any other form or shape.

Kind of a obsession of mine though. You can also create a mental Pyramid by focusing on the visions coming from your 3rd eye (point 1), to what you are hearing from your ears (point 2 and 3). Now the Pyramids complete.

This is an excellent way to get deep into a meditative state.

Pyramids mean different things to different people. To me they signify awe and knowledge. They truly show what happens when a collective consciousness works in sync.

They are power, they are mystery and we as the current race, are just beginning to awaken to their true nature.

Thanks for the resource, Lionheart! As for those triangles/pyramids... it's amazing how distinct and persistent they are! Truly mysterious.  :-)

Seeing geometric shapes is a very common experience. However, it is one that I don't share other than seeing globes or orbs but not in the spirit sense.

Like you, I did my exploration without knowing the common terms and concepts. After I started researching, I would read something that sounded common yet amazing and think, "Dang, why didn't I have that experience yet."

Later on, I would realize that I actually did, only I didn't view it the same way or use the same metaphor to describe it.

All in all, I wouldn't change doing this with ignorance but I had a lot of catching up to do once I was ready to start accepting my new reality.

What I'm really finding amazing is all of the literature I'm coming across concerning my experiences. Consider, for instance, the triangle thing... I never once thought about triangles or other geometric shapes as they relate to my meditations until I began to distinctly see such triangles appear in my mind's eye during meditation (they always appear solo when I see them). Upon my research and inquiries, following my experiences, I'm realizing how similar my experiences are to those of others... Now knowing that others have specifically experienced the same or similar phenomena has very much interested me. Another reoccurring symbol I've come across has been what basically appears to be a horseshoe. Has anybody else randomly seen horseshoes in their mind's eye or have an idea on their importance under the relevant circumstances?
