What makes you believe that OOBEs are real?

I'd like to start off by saying I am skeptic. I'm not trying to start a flamewar here, nor am I trying to disprove anything. There is just one question that I've been meaning to ask for a while. So far I've had a few "projections", but they seem to me more like hallucinations or simple lucid dreams rather than leaving my physical body. Maybe I was just doing it wrong, and the state I achieved wasn't really what I was supposed to achieve, but I can't really tell. Anyway, my question is: what makes you think that your astral projections are real? Have you ever experienced something that proved to you, without a slightest bit of doubt that your OOBEs aren't just happening in your head?

Hi Tako...

There is a Validation thread on here that can answer your question as well as other peoples experiences can.

If you like you can read this very informative website (see link below). It is a collection (mostly from APers' forums, including this one, but also from some literature) of 'anecdotal' evidence and a few lab experiments. Original links are provided for every account there. Besides, please also consider the vast amount of NDE and Remote Viewing research (regarding validations) on this topic.

Here's the link, I highly recommend it, it is very good, indeed!:

Btw, I am convinced that actually "not so much" is taking place "in the head" only. Mind is generally nonlocal, not bound to time-space, the brain is just a filter and/or a part of our 'body-bio-computer' that lets us experience this reality which is one of many and countless realities we can enter and experience. I believe now we do not even 'think' with it. Future science will prove it but it's still a long way to go and we have still to manage the paradigm change (which is taking place now slowly!) in order to overcome materialistic backward concepts still festering within the mainstream of the scientific community.

Let's start off with a *seemingly* simple question... tell me, what exactly *IS* a dream?
