The retrievals I've read about on here are fascinating.  I've never done one, but recently I had a projection where I met someone who was in a really bad frame of mind and I was able to help the person.  It was a very satisfying feeling but in the end I don't really know if it was a real soul or not.  For the people who do retrievals, how convinced are you that you are saving a real soul?  Say on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being I'm 100% convinced I'm saving a real soul and 1 being, It was a great test of my character but that's all it was, what number do you give your experiences?  For those who say a 10, why do you say so?  Just a deep knowing? -- guides tell you?---just too powerful not to be a real soul? etc.  Thanks!  I am feeling like I'm being tested a lot in my APs.

It is a great test of your character and gets rating from it. I have never experienced anything like that.

Soarin12,

I just returned from TMI Lifeline Program 18 - 24 Mar 13. There retrieval program. During the program we did 5 actual retrieval exercises. It was not until we wrote a name on a piece of paper, and drew a name. That I was convinced that retrievals were real. Even thou it was the only validated retrieval I had, I knew I could not have made up the information I received from the name I drew.

Being a beginner I still have doubt, and performance anxiety, and yes it still is in the back of my mind if it is real, I would say it is more subjective. I have never had a OBE, AP, or whatever. I have been "close" to phasing but my impatience led me to going to TMI. My visual perception is crap, so I have to rely on other non-physical senses.

So the only way to find out, is to go and try to do one. There are several resources on the net. If you can go thru the Phasing route I am sure a helper will show up, and if you ask will guide you to do a retrieval.

Probably the best books I have read where by Bruce Moen, and he even has a Book called "The Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook" which is a how to for exploring the afterlife, as well as performing retrievals. Every once and awhile he gives a class. For more info go to his website, they have a forum as well.

Do a search for the board member Ginny here or Bruce's Forum. She is very knowledgeable.

You will be put through many tests before you are sent on a retrieval.
As far as they go the reality of the experience is the same or more so than the physical. You'll find that the early ones are where you help a single person as a one on one thing.
These do progress and can be very rewarding.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Thank you for your replies and your honesty.  That is all really helpful!   :)

If you do enough retrievals, you will get the personal chance to experience a rare but valuable "validation."
Supposed for example, a family member of a friend passes away. Then you request to retrieve them.
You ask a bunch of questions to the retrievee or you just observe the circumstances/environment.
When you come back here, you compare notes with the the friend and see if you picked up information you couldn't possibly have known beforehand.

For me, validations have come from retrieving people who died in historical events such as 9/11 or the Iraq war. The reason this work is that there is often a web memorial of each victim to compare notes with.

As Journey once said "Don't stop retrievin'"  ;)

Thanks Mendel.  Good to know that people are having theses validations!
