Hi everyone,
I wanted to know if fictional realms exist in the astral world, since your thoughts create your reality in the astral.
I read one post by LightBeam on her trip to Narnia and meeting Prince Caspian, and it made me think that the authors who write these extremely detailed stories with vivid worlds (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc) maybe are tapping into these "fictional" realms and histories that really do exist in the astral.
It makes sense to me that if you can imagine it, then it is real on some level since it would be impossible to imagine something that doesn't exist, right? Could our imagination pick up on these other worlds and the books we write are our connections to these other worlds that really do exist?
Now, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and dream about going to Hogwarts. If the astral can provide any experience we want, then hogwarts and all these other fictional stories we love must exist in the astral world. My question is, would the characters or beings that reside in these stories be *real* like we are if we visited their world? Would they have spirits, souls, etc?
And if the astral world is where we are headed when we physically die, can we experience Narnia or Hogwarts or Hyrule like we experience Earth? Does the Astral seem as real as Physical life? Can my friends and I go on adventures together, or do we have to be all on the same *frequency* or *vibration* to experience a certain realm/world together?
I have to say the world of Harry Potter would be the first astral realm I'd want to experience, it seems so real and JK Rowling must have tapped into Harry Potter's reality because her writing before Potter was mediocre, or so I read. Plus she spent 7 years planning before she actually starting writing! That's years of imagining, dreaming and receiving subconscious messages/thoughts about the world of Harry Potter!
Yes, definitely. Everything that exists within our reality begins as a thought, which begins "non-physically".
In the case of the Harry Potter universe, it wasn't already there... JK Rowlings created it with every thought and everything she wrote. She brought the world to life, and through her readers, it gets reinforced and further added to. You can definitely visit such a place.
Hi Isador, welcome to the pulse. I am too a HUGE Harry Potter story fan and during projections I have been several times there, and let me tell you, the sense of adventure and excitement were off the charts. The first time I projected there was way before I read the Deathly Hallows part I, or before I had seen the movie. I had no idea the story would take such a dark turn. And usually we experience the astral according to our expectations, however, I did not intend to project there at all, I was just taken, and secondly, I found myself in a forest area with Harry and Hermione, I remember seeing a tent and we were planning on how to find something. There was heaviness in the air, a really dark feeling, but at the same time I was sooooo thrilled to had ended up there, because I was totally aware that my physical body is asleep, and at the same time I had teleported into this fictional world. I felt a part of it and despite the darkness of that particular scene, I felt in a mids of a great adventure. The feeling was unbelievable. Then after a while when the movie came -Deathly Hallows part 1 (I read the book after I saw the movie) and I saw them in the forest with the tent trying to figure out how to find the horcruxes, I was like OMG, what the hell LOL. I think my AP took place even before the author had written that part of the book.
So, to me many authors are able to connect consciously or subconsciously to other worlds, even through dreams if you will, or just thoughts about stories, which are drawn from the astral. Not necessarily needing to have a conscious AP in order to connect, but our spirits always travel, even now as we are physically oriented. It's just some people are able to become aware and receive this information as thoughts, just they are drawn from other worlds. This may be what we call imagination, but really we are perceiving other realities without being fully aware. Now, we can create as well a we use our thoughts. I think it can go either way. Each story may have a different origin, but when I experienced Narnia, I was not the one who created this temporary environment. I tried even changing it and I could not. That world was already stable and supported by the energies of its habitants.
The stories also may be created in present time by our authors, because we all possess the abilities to create new things and new worlds if you will. No one can know for sure, but the exciting thing is that they exist and can be visited.
I also believe that fairytales have also origins and these worlds exist. At some point maybe our worlds were at a slight merge, that's why we have legends about dragons, fairies, elves, etc. Maybe humans had become too physically oriented and had shut down those portals which may have existed in the distant past. All I can say is that nothing is impossible. But I don't like to think that all we experience is inside our head only and everything and everyone is just temporary thought forms, as some APers think. That would be a very depressing and lonely existence. If we get past the lower duplicate to our physical reality dimensions, we can enter the frequency of established worlds, which are fascinating, and communicate with other entities. That though takes practice and skills to really be able to get out of the lower astral environment. But when it's time to shed our physical bodies and we are completely unattached to this reality anymore, I think we gain a LOT more ability to travel without restrictions and experience amazing things.
Thanks for your reply, Xanth! That makes sense to me. :)
Thank you LightBeam! Your description of your sense of adventure and excitement is something I'd love to experience! Also, your second paragraph about how we are able to connect to these other worlds seems right to me! I want to write fantasy when I'm older and I've noticed random ideas pop into my head every now and then, the possibility that these ideas could be coming from other realities is very exciting.
Hopefully one day our worlds will merge and we can physically access these fantasy worlds, it is interesting to note that there are myths of dragons, faeries and elven beings appearing all across the world.
I agree with you that it would be very depressing if our experience is simply inside our head. In fact, I totally reject that notion. There is no way that we are all just temporary thought forms, and I feel that this idea makes life pointless.
Indeed, when we pass away I believe there will be much more to explore and many adventures to come.
Do you think it would be possible to become a habitant of these fictional fantasy realms when we die? When we rest after physical death, we could live part of our astral existence inhabiting the worlds of the stories we love. Personally, beginning a magical/astral education at Hogwarts, getting sorted into a house, making friends and going on adventures in the world of Harry Potter is something I'd love to do when I die. But I'd only want to do this if the friends I make in these fantasy realms are "real" like myself, and not just temporary thought forms. Of course, in the astral/afterlife, there is no time and I'll have eternity to do more than just attend Hogwarts and go on adventures. Maybe I could become Minister of Magic. ;)

Absolutely, there are countless probable parallel realities, not only of the physical world but of the higher frequency worlds as well, so our spirits experience everything and anything at all levels. There is no limit. And yes, the habitants are real spirits. I think you can tell when you create an animated thought form which can act as a person. However, I think that spirits are created from the core of the Source and we as individual spirits can not create new spirits out of raw energy. Animated thought forms yes, but I think there is a difference in types of energy and consciousness.
Author, mystic and experiencer Kurt Leland has a nice chapter on this online, he labels this area of simulations the 'astral dream zone':
QuoteThe astral plane Dream Zone can seem boring to those who don't know how to use it because they just keep sliding through dreams with identical emotional contours, based on their unresolved problems in physical reality [waterslides]. They have no idea how much more real and satisfying the thrills of the lower mental plane Dream Zone can be.
Here it's possible to enter the world view of a famous person or the plot of a novel, play, or opera and experience it as real–at least as real as anything you've personally lived through on Earth. Verbal descriptions can't convey the vividness, the depth of immersion, possible when you enter a world view or novel plot here. Unlike a virtual reality game, it's indistinguishable from life, and satisfies a hunger to know anything you may care to know about that person or novel so thoroughly that mere thrill seeking seems like a waste of time.

I tend to think that if something is not real, there is no way to experience or even conceive of it. Everything anyone or anything can experience is real.
