Title: Is my friend crazy?
Post by: dark_forest_sings on February 03, 2012, 00:20:49
Hi everyone!

I have a question about a story my friend told me, please take it seriously as I'm concerned for her. She told me that she used to live in a different reality. She said she started astrally projecting and building a new reality because she was told she could while traveling. She said after about a year, her new reality was complete and she entered it, never returning to her old one. When I asked her why she didn't return, she said it was her reality and it no longer existed.

This is strange to me. I believe in astral projection, but this is something I've only seen in movies. Though she did show me a passage of a book she was reading where it said it was possible.

So yea, I'm really concerned. Is she losing it? Or is this stuff real? She is really happy, I admit that.

Thanks for any replies!

I am up with the most scientific of them, so here is a nice conservative answer.

It depends.  :-P

Yeah, when you get to the high realms of the astral what you find is people living in "belief structures". One well known law of the astral is One can instantly manifest intent . Thus, When one passes it seems that one's beliefs guide them to create a "reality" in which they would like to exist. There has been numerous accounts of Christian Heaven and Muslim heaven looking areas with entities living happily within them. The best hypothesis we have at the time is that they are created from widespread aligned intent; Which does make quite logical sense once you get over the whole intangible thing.

So, you friend sounds like they know what they are talking about. Although these places may be great and a wonderful escape from our physical reality, and it is pretty cool to make and design all this stuff. One must understand that right now, one's existence is on this plane. You have to deduce whether she just discovered this stuff (it is pretty amazing and a worthy excuse to become a hermit for some time) or she is just using it as a means for attention because she is lonely. As a friend you should always give the benefit of the doubt and stay open, just remember to protect yourself. I have dabbled too much in this stuff once or twice. It is easy to lose you grips on what is real and what is not real.

When it comes down to it, intent seems to be one of the only things there are. If you can find her intent, then you can probably best solve this little dilemma.

Remember, on this plane, your dreams and aspirations are a product of your reality and your reality is a continuation of your dreams and aspirations.

Best of luck steering the ship.

Cheers,

So does this mean that the reality in which you exist (as you were talking to her) is the same reality she created?
Or is there something in this narrative that I missed?

Thanks for your replies. I spoke with Rachel a little more about this. This is what she told me:

She went back to a certain point in her past, astral form, and said she changed things. I asked what and she said her teenage years when everything went wrong in her life. I asked about creating her reality and she said she did, by changing her past and making sure her life took a different path than it had.

That's all I have.

I don't remember anything else than what she is right now. She said she used to be poor, drank everyday.... so on. I can say now, she is nothing like what she said things used to be.

This doesn't sound so crazy. Even if it never really happened, just the belief that it did has greatly improved her life. You can use lucid dreams in a similar fashion. You can visit loved ones that have passed away and find peace by doing so. You can practice events that have yet to happen(like a speech or big presentation you have to give at school/work) so you are more prepared. It is a common thing to do with lucid dreaming. What your friend described is not that different. IMO, if its therapeutic and your life isn't changing for the worse, it's not crazy.  :-)

People throughout history have been known to make physical representations of intangible concepts in order to better understand them, themselves, and to also communicate their complex ideas to others. More often than not, these representations of how they see the world in their mind manifest themselves as art. Being a system's designer, I can firmly tell you that representational faithful models are incredibly efficient at achieving desired aims. In a way, in many professions, they are a must.

The way it sounds to me is that your friend has simply done quite the contrary, and an amazing feat indeed.

Let me explain.
From talking to many people about the topic of sleep, I have come to realize that the process of sleep is something we don't talk about to often. :-P In this way, one of my friends actually puts himself in what sounds like an F10 state to fall asleep each night. He doesn't even know this is called F10, or anything about projection. He thinks that everyone does this to fall asleep.
The point is it seems people can adopt advanced intangible skills without consciously knowing that this skill is unique to them. Think about it, there is no way to communicate such a skill, such an intangible process. Your friend could be quite advanced at projection and not even know how advanced she has traioned herself to be.

Maybe she has manifested the ability can visit this "belief structure" as you are I would go to a museum to visit a painting or sculpture. If this is the case, I would talk to her about it because she has then developed an intruiging skill without learning how to properly express it to others. When it comes to the intangible we can only use metaphors and similes. We are physical beings by constraint.

I wish the best of luck to the two of you.

I find this very interesting. all of my astro is from personal traing and i have found when you can travel to very high levels i think based from multiverse therory and the combination of string and caous theory that what she is doing is searching for a perfect reality in the infinate amount of other dimensions. i do this all the time for fun because i can control base elements and feel the physical effect. i only caution that she never try and recreate death
