Is this an astral projection?

I had a dream when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I was at some expo place looking at snowmobiles or something, when all of a sudden everyone fell over and I guess... died? Then I saw myself float out of my body, turned around, saw my body and everyone elses. Then everything changed. I sort of half woke up from the dream, but then everything got gray and blurry. It looked like I was vibrating, but I didn't feel anything. Then I opened my eyes and I was down the street from my then house. I thought it was weird, and when I stood up there were people everywhere. I got all excited because I knew I was heaven, or whatever you prefer to call it. I ran down the street and my mom was there. She was excited and talking to this woman with long dark hair, so I let her be. Then I decided I wanted to see my great grandparents, so I started running the other way until I got close to where I somehow knew they would be. Then I woke up. I still think about this dream ALL the time, even though it was 7-8 years ago. It felt so real, and nice. I was so happy. I told my mom about it and she said it was an OBE, but I'm not sure. Maybe it was just a good dream?

So what do you think, was it an astral projection?

Sounds like an OBE to me. If you had strong emotions, colours were vivid, and you were making decisions, then it certainly was an OBE.  But only you know how realistic it all was.

It sounds very much like one to me.

It is very easy to question our first few experiences, especially after we wake up. They seem so real while we're having them, and then we question them after they're over.

As you progress and have a lot more projections, you'll be able to tell the difference. OBEs feel different from LDs and regular dreams.
