how can I locate and visit a physical place?

Hi all

Question to experienced astral projectors:

I had my first fully conscious OBE this morning. Yay! I was on a consciousness development course yesterday when I was trying to go to Hyde Park but was unable to.  However, this morning I found myself in the astral plane, and the first thing I thought of was Hyde Park.  I did go to a park, rather a massive garden around a University that I used to go to - in the astral plane.  The building was very familiar, and I was hiding on top of the trees.  I didn't want to get any closer as someone might recognise me. So I turned back and said to myself go to Hyde Park.  I didn't know how to, and was frustrated. Then came back to my body - consciously sliding into it.  (i'm still filled with awe) Now, my question how can I locate an Earthly place when I'm in the astral plane?  I have a feeling I'll end up in places in the astral plane when my intention is to visit people and places on Earth.

It doesn't always work.  But you could construct a portal that you use specifically like a transportation device to send you to specific destinations.  You can decorate it with sigils or symbols that you find appropriate and that remind you of astral travel.  Whenever you want to go somewhere,, just look into your portal and visualize the place you want to go inside.. then step through..

The ability to travel to a specific location while out of body is actually a skill which surprisingly Few people have mastered. Though that ability does not seem too difficult it actually proves very tricky for most people. So don't be put off by one failure.
Like most aspects of the out of body phenomenon this ability can be learned with the resquisite amount of practice and intention.
Even if you don't end up where you intend to be at least you'll be somewhere other than your immediate familiar surroundings. And that is more than most manage during their OBEs.

Hi lily, I had another OBE this morning and I went through a portal (dark tunnel with light at the end).  It wasn't entirely a pleasant journey, I felt fear and I wanted to come back to my body but something/someone told me I'm venturing out a little further this time so it's not that easy or automatic. Anyway, I ended up in this desert-like place, flew over people, above and through houses, and stopped inside an old dusty monument with slanted walls.  I think I was in a pyramid, and I have a feeling I was in Cairo.  I'm still digesting it, but just wanted to say that I did go through a tunnel/portal and was most probably on Earth this time round.  Thanks again for the tip.

In my experience, it is most often a case of "wherever I go, there I am". I have traveled to locations as diverse as the parking lot of a motel where  I happened to be staying (an RTZ type experience), to a Venusian type of environment with landscapes ranging from rocky cliffs to ponds of molten metal - in which I was *very* grateful to be OOB

More typically, I find myself floating around earth-type environments, ranging from inside industrial/school type buildings which seem unending and full of people, to outdoors in thinly populated forest/prairie/mountain areas with the occasional dwelling, to dense city locations with lots of buildings, people, traffic, animals etc. Usually in all of these environments my own physical density is relatively quite low, and I float through walls, ceilings, floors, etc - anything solid - I am insubstantial and ghostlike.

Most people in these places are either unaware or indifferent to my presence, but usually if I try to touch them, my arm passes through their bodies, and they shiver as though they are uncomfortable by my touch, so I leave them alone for the most part. Usually however someone is able to recognize me (after I experiment at getting their attention for a bit) and we interact briefly. I can only remain in these locations for a limited period before being pulled back to my own physical location and body, or simply fading away into a dream pool.

I have tried to gain control over where I go, but this is still touch-and-go for me. I seem to migrate to different locations at random, although my vibrational frequency plays a role, in theory at least.

I hope this helps to shed a bit of insight.

So are you saying when your in the real time zone in spirit/ghost form, people have a reaction of shivering when you try to touch them? then you mention someone is able to recognize you . What someone you know normally and have gone to check up on at their house or workplace or where ever?

Just puzzling how you can get there attention if they are in the normal world and your in the real time zone in spirit like form. They shouldn't be able to see you at all unless they are also in the spirit real time zone.

Also out of curiosity: Have you been able to verify any events or places or actions people have done whilst in the real time zone?

Most of my episodes seem to occur in astral reflections of earthly regions, not in the RTZ. I can only remain aware in these astral regions for limited periods while OOB. When I am in them, I sense that I am a bit out of sync with the energies which hold these places together. Intuition tells me that this is the reason that I am (usually) physically insubstantial and difficult for others to detect in these places. My experiences being insubstantial in these regions resemble those of a "ghost" in our own physical dimension. As well, sensitivity varies among the inhabitants of the places which I visit - a few of them can see me - and we have sensitives aka clairvoyants among us who can see and talk to "ghosts" very few others can see.

I believe that the reason for this ambiguity lies in differing vibrational frequencies. The frequency of my astral body is variable enough that I can visit and see these places, but I have difficulty "locking" my frequency to sync with a location for an extended period, or remaining close enough to their frequencies for most of the inhabitants (if any) to notice me. This variable frequency situation at different astral regions is analogous to a radio dial, I suppose. That is the explanation which makes the most sense to me.
