So this happens about once or twice a month:
I will wake up suddenly and I feel the bed slightly shaking, or rather rocking (kinda side to side-like). Being that I live in California, we have quite a bit of earthquakes. So most of the time I write it off as an earthquake (though nothing else in the room seems to be "moving" or "shaking"). Anyway, the rocking or shaking is really subtle, but enough for me to recognize that shaking is happening. Within moments of me waking up and recognizing this, the movement stops. I always go onto the USGS website and check to see if there was indeed a quake during this event, and ONLY ONCE has there been a quake. Odd.
Sooooo......
Would you say that I am feeling the "vibes" (possibly as my body was returning or about to leave)??
Thanks for any input!
Peace.

If it's not earthquakes it could be: Vibes, hallucinations, seizures, quarry blasts, garbage trucks, thunder, bigfoot, UFO's, the chupacabra or other mythical creature under your bed.

It's probably vibes, but I thought I'd throw out some other suggestions. I mean, What else could it be?

Yah, good one.
I've asked friends and they seem to think that it is indeed the vibes and I am catching the tail end of the experience. Would be nice to "wake" in the midst of leaving the body though. Someday perhaps.

My wife once woke up to the bed trembling! I was in the Air Force and stationed in Turkey at the time. She said it was just like the scene in the movie "Exorcist" where the bed was jumping all around. I told her it was just hypnogogic halucinations which are quite common some times. If you don't realize what is going on it can be quite a start!
