Hello friends,
Last night I had to stay up working until 4:30AM. By the time I finished all my work I was exhausted. My eyes were literally closing and I felt like I could fall asleep within seconds. I decided to experiment with this state and see how long I can stay awake with my eyes closed. So I went to bed and lied down on my back (normally, I could never fall asleep in this position). I closed my eyes and was waiting for hypnagogic imagery to kick in. In half a minute I started hearing voices, loud buzzing noises, seeing lights, and all of the sudden I realized that I was paralyzed. It all happened within a minute or so, I believe! Then, vibrations followed and I easily separated from my body.
I don't know if this happened because I'm used to having OOBE's, or because it indeed was a good discovery/method. Give it a try!
Such "sudden easy successes" occur sometimes after short and especially very short breaks of the sleeps. They are not cuased by a method itself. These sudden easy successes require the break of a sleep and are even during breaks of a sleep phase often very rare.
The occurrence can be promoted by the frequently application of common out of body experience methods. But this is not a requirement.

Yes, that's how I had all my OOBE's. But this one was different, that's why I shared it. There was no break in sleep. I was up working hard for 16 hours and then went to bed at 4am - after a very long & tiring day.
Maybe i should learn to read slower.
After hard or long days are fast successes after falling asleep also not rare. But if one tries to use this frequently, it has an opposite effect. The nights will become fast to short dreamless nights without anything interesting. One can try to use it, but if these dreamless nights occur, one should go back to the common methods..
My experiences have predominantly been within 4 hours of a nap. But recently it doesn't seem to matter if I have spent a full 18 hour day not sleeping and working hard or not. Whether this is a 'belief' that I needed a nap, I can do it now because something has 'clicked' or its a natural progress thing, I don't know yet.
Yes, same here - it becomes easier and easier to have an OOBE as the time passes. I have those spontaneously quite often. I'm not sure if my technique actually works or it worked because I'm used to having OOBE's. But perhaps it'll help beginners, just give it a shot.
