 :-D  WOW.
Talk about super real. Around 3:00 pm I meditated for about an hour with a hemi sync track.
Afterwards, I decided to take a short nap to prepare myself for a projection practice tonight.
At one point, I could hear my Mom and my Dad downstairs. My dad was talking to my Mom while she was cooking dinner. It felt as though I opened my actual eyes, got out of bed, and walked across my room to this large mirror I have. This felt very real but I had that very funny fuzzy sensation that I get when something MIGHT be non physical. I touched the mirror as a test. For some reason my logic was this: if its solid, this is physical reality. If its not, I'm projecting. Well it was solid, so I went back to bed.... My non physical bed. Lol.
Do you l know that constant tone that you can hear if you listen hard enough with your ears? I kept hearing it but it was soft and broken up into segments. Sometime later, I actually physically woke up. And NOW I am quite certain that I did indeed project and tricked myself to going back to bed. HAHA.

I guess my question is, how can I make sure I don't miss an opportunity like this again? :)
This is only the third time of have done this and become aware that I have done it. Thanks guys and gals.

Is there a way you can be sure what you are seeing is non physical? Everything is so real!

And now I realize that there was something weird I should have noticed!
I have two mirrors in my room because I am a dancer. One is tall and skinny and the other is a large rectangle. In my OOBE I touched the larger one and it was on the left. And the skinny one was on the right. In the NP, these positions are actually switched. WOW. Intricate.

It's always a pleasure to read a successful projection.  :-)

Especially when the person realises how real it is.

There are many reality checks you can do. Look at your hands... look at a clock or at any writing. Sometimes details give the game away. Although the nature of some OOBEs is that they are very close to the same logical reasoning one has during a False Awakening.. in that you may look at a clock.. realise it's saying a quarter past cheese and think this was normal.   :-D

You will learn to recognise the state and I doubt you will miss the opportunity again. Even if you do it is another learning curve.

Always be thankful for these short RTZ projections. These help to validate the experiences subjectively. As far as knowing for sure, this just comes down to your awareness. If you have to question your reality, it is most likely a non-physical one.

These are the ones where you can get your objective evidence from. Like meet up with another astral traveler and swap emails and stuff like that. I've never done that as I guess you already know, but I'm sure it's possible.

Remember it's all real, it's just not always physical. :-)

Your mirrors being reversed are a common thing. I'm not sure why that is though. It doesn't mean it's any less real or valid.
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

Congratulations!  :-)

I love reading success stories as well!

You have already been there or done that 3 times, so just know that many more will follow.  :-)

You know you are seeing Non Physical when you realize that your physical body is still asleep and napping away. That's all there really is left!

You could do reality checks as other members here have stated. A good one is, give yourself the command to fly or create a completely new intent, maybe a far away wonderland. If your thought equals that action, then you are in a NPR, Non Physical Reality!

Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

Ah ha! That's a good one! I like the hands idea. Easy and quick.Quarter past cheese!!! Haha.
Yeah, I think I was expecting the mirror to be liquid or something strange like that. I guess the doubt in my mind caused that from happening. It's strange because I remember seeing blackness in front of my eyes and then it felt like I opened my eyes and I was in my room. But I do remember the sensation of getting out of bed was rather lighter then it would be in the pysical. More like floaty. :)

Oh boy. Now I just have to realize its the NP and then maybe attempt to fly out my window. I do have a dragon guide that I can sometimes call. Maybe I can try that next time? How amazing would it be to have a giant white dragon whisk you away to a far away land?! :) EXCTING! Thank you for your words of encouragement. Lately, I feel like I'm really making some nice big steps in my practice. I can't wait to see where it takes me. I hope to meet some of you in the NP!

Thank you, Lion!
You are always so helpful. I seem to have the most luck upon awakening. I just visualize seeing my room through my eyes. But I don't strain. I just let it happen. Before I know it I 'awake' feeling that strange fuzzy feeling. Each time this happens a become more familiar with this feeling. I think it's going to help me in the future for sure. You have no idea how excited I am. Usually I hate waking up in the morning. Haha. Not a morning person. BUT NOW....its like a giant sandbox for me to play with and explore! :)

You mean... you had a "dream".
That's what a dream is... a projection where you simply don't realize you're projecting.

You ALMOST had it though... you failed your test though.  You didn't focus enough on what you were doing.  That's the key...

I questioned it... so I knew something was up. For me, thats close enough.
As you said though, I didn't pass the test.

Let me carify a bit. I know dreams are projections. However, the key for me is this:
Before I started practicing, my dreams/projections/whatever you want to call them were very vague and abstract. Its much different now. For me, this new feeling of projecting is very different from the feeling of the dreaming I used to know. Its like being awake and asleep at the same time while recalling everything you see in great detail. Also, emotions are no longer a straight wash of happiness or fear. Now I get all the nuances of each thought and feeling just as I would in the pysical.
I guess everyone is different in what they experience.

Xanth was just pointing out that our level of awareness is what makes the difference. The level of awareness changes our perception of what a dream is. You seem to already get this concept. You don't have to believe this though. Get some more experiences and decide for yourself. No need to rush the journey but it's hard to wait once you start.

Dreams without your full awareness will start to seem different because once you start projecting, it is hard to notice more even when you're not trying.
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

That sounds awesome and congratulations!!!

If we're being really pick with our verbage, I'd call that a false awakening. I'd get them often, especially with naps. Sometime's they're hard to notice differences and hard to validate. Isn't it nuts how we don't notice things out of place until we're awake?

Snap! Excuse me, I must wandering out of my body again! :)
