Title: Leg Separation!
Post by: Rastus on August 19, 2004, 16:51:09
I thought of my body now to do my periodical relaxation, and as soon as I did, my astral leg slammed back into my physical leg

So don't do that?  Forget about your physical body?  You want it asleep, not necessarily relaxed, there's a difference.  To "relax" you have to conciously will the muscles to relax, which of course means it's not asleep since your controlling it?

Hehe, I know all this. Its just when I was doing it I was trying to get as relaxed as possible. Truth is, I didnt think much of my leg getting lighter (separating) until after it was over. So now that I know that separation can be very subtle, I will try this and refine it for a while. It was stupid of me to do what I did, but I know not to do it again! [:D]
Thanks for your reply!

LOLOLOLOL

Sometimes I sound like Ancient Chinese Instructor [:P]

You might try AP phasing instead of OBE, a different set of sensations, and much less seperation issues!  I had a good streak of AP's last night while in the middle of something else [;)]

Ive had a couple people reccomend astral phasing to me in the past, perhaps Ill take a look into it further. Astral phasing seems alright to me, its just, I guess I like knowing that I have separated and have a body to travel in. Id better get over that hurdle quickly [:)]. Alrighty, so Ill experiment with astral phasing for a bit and share my sucess/whatever. Wish me luck!
Much love to all

Long time no see, eh guys? I moved down to Tennessee a couple weeks ago, and finaaly got my computer hooked up today! Alrighty, enough of that, on with my experience...
I was in my bed, my mind was fairly awake but I was really physically exhausted. Knowing this I decided to try something out, I repeated the short phrase mind awake/body asleep in my head for a while. NOTE: I wasnt doing the visualization with it, just repeating it to occupy my mind. After a few minutes of doing this I got some neat sensations-floaty feeling and heaviness. I was taking breaks every now and then to relax my body deeper. I kept going with the phrase, and I felt my leg (up to the knee) get a little lighter. I thought of my body now to do my periodical relaxation, and as soon as I did, my astral leg slammed back into my physical leg. I jumped out of bed pretty happy, but a little dissapointed knowing that I could have fully separated that time.
So what do you all think of that? First my finger, now my leg lol. I know Im so close to separating fully, I just havent had much time to practice what with school and everything (Im in high school now, yay!).
Take care everybody, and its great to be back!!
