Taste in the Astral

I'm sure this topic came up a while back.

Anyhow, during a lucid dream last night, I went OBE from my dream body (would that be an OBE from an OBE?) and bypassed the RTZ totally.

One part of the experience was walking into a brightly lit female bedroom.  The room had a small table with one chair.  On the table was a cup and saucer, and a plate with a chocolate digestive biscuit on it.

I sat at the chair and ate the biscuit deliberately to ascertain whether I could "taste" in an OBE state.  I couldn't.  I even licked the chocolate off the top of the biscuit, and even though I could recall what chocolate tasted like, I still couldn't taste it.

I've had non-lucid dreams where I've smelt things (lemongrass which was glorious), but I don't recall being able to taste.

Can anyone else remember tasting?

We all find nonsenses to believe in; it's part of being alive.

I have tasted in an OBE, I am sure I have more than once but this is an experience that sticks out.  I was in a large cafeteria with racks of sandwiches.  I grabbed one and bit into it and I could just faintly taste the ham and the bread.  I have tasted things aside from food like my own blood in my mouth after having all my teeth fall out and water while swimming.... I think food is either somehow different or maybe its something mental but I can never taste food properly it seems.  Smells however are always insanely powerful for me.

Yeah, smells sneak up on me out of nowhere. Very strong. You would think if you could smell something, then you could taste it, but I can't recall ever eating anything.
