OK so Ive been trying to have a projection for some months now and i wont really say that Ive been upto the task.I've had sudden spurts of inspiration and have followed them and then i stopped abruptly

Right now I'm on another one of my spurts and well i was listening to this binaural tape thing in vain and suddenly when i blanked my mind i started to feel really heavy my eyes felt like tonnes of weights and i felt a black vortex pulling me in.......even though i knew i was going into sleep paralysis(from what Ive read i guess it was) i don't know why but i kinda got scared and my eyes opened even without my knowing it

so am i near AP?  next time if i surpass this will i have an OBE or do i still have a long way to go?has anyone has a similar experience? please share guys.......

The Present Moment

It looks to me as though you have already accomplished a lot, but you are getting discouraged because you are looking for a classic AP/OBE experience. Keep practicing and watch for the little steps that lead to your final goal.

When I was just starting out, I was so determined. Looking back perhaps a little obsessed but why not? To realize that this life we lead right now at this very moment is not real at least in my definition of real. I just couldnt believe that right now my very actions are and are not really happening. I dont know how to explain to you but it changed the very way I think, and live in this world. At first I didnt believe that I could "peek" into the next life Ill be leading or afterlife. I thought that these people were just having some really wicked dreams. After years of trying and determination I found out that it was true. My mind is very active so it took a while to quiet all the noise to even attempt to project. There were tons of hurdles. First I didnt believe in it so attempting to do something you think is impossible is a hard hurdle to overcome. After a while of finding ways to relax enough I started to get sensations or electricity passing through me and hearing buzzing sounds.
I went onto the boards and dove into the books I bought and seen that these people too  were experiences those sensations. By then I was really excited I was on my way. Then one day I laid down and got all the familiar sensations I was getting used to then I heard this loud roaring sound it got louder and louder. It sounded louder than a freight train heading right torwards me, scared me enough to make me jump about a foot or so out of my bed without a thought. Fear was just one more hurdle. So youll see as you overcome one problem another pops up it may take a while but youll get passed it then another and another etc.. Much like computer errors you fix a software problem then another pops up to take its place, trial and error is the only way to go about projection. You can learn some things from others but you cant learn everything you need to, everyones experiences may differ. After all we are all different people and beings and our origins may differ. Youll see what I mean in a while =-)

god....you guys really know your stuff.
now that u mention it even i think that you guys are having weird dreams but then i feel that so many people cannot be universally involved in a conspiracy.....

Its undeniable that people who have never read about each other, or heard each others' stories have gotten all the sensations leading up to and after an obe. Thousands of people have started to get it on their own without even reading about projection, and are left clueless as to whats going on with them. Even before I succeeded at it I knew there was something to it when I was researching it, some of it had to be true for thousands of people to have the same thing going on with them. I just remained skeptical that everyone was able to do it until I was able to.  Before lucid dreams or projections even were a well known thing a guy who wrote by the name of Oliver Fox wrote a book on his experiences about "Dreams of knowing" He realized he was able to become conscious in dreams. This was even before the term lucid dream was even coined. An interesting thing though about this whole story is that he was at will able to have lucid dreams. He loved them so much and was so curious he never wanted it to end but each time he would wake up unwillingly. He fought to stay in the state until one time the pressure was so great he was about to give up on it and all of a sudden he heard a loud click and the resistance was gone he was able to stay in that state for a while and continue with his experiments.

I find the best way really to let your subconscious know your intent is to read as much as possible about projection especially before bedtime. Some good authors to look up on the subject. Robert A. Monroe; Robert Bruce; Sylvan Muldoon; Rosalind A. Mcknight; William Buhlman, those are just a few but will keep you reading for a while. Good luck. Regards,

I've been having a dry spell as well... the first few months of attempting I had some intense experinces, but as of now, tihngs are kinda dry... a few good lucid dreams, but not as much as I would like... any advice?
I'd rather spend my life attempting to make myself happy rather than prevent myself from being unhappy.
