For psychic readings, we can go to our local spiritualist churches. However, for AP/OBE, are there any places like that?

If you're extremely lucky, there might be some sort of gatherings in your local area.
I once saw a flyer on a wall in Toronto while walking to work one morning that was about an astral projection related group.

But, generally... no, you won't find much, if anything like that.

Astralsuzy

It would be nice to be in a group.  Being in a group can have its problems.  The group can expect you to believe and fit in with what they believe.  That was one group I went to years ago.  Another group was a course.  The course charged a lot of money.  It was reasonable for a course but I do not mean to sound I am a know all, I think I know more than they do.  They talk about the afterlife and I am not interested in that.  They talked nothing about sp, relaxing, meditation etc.  They expected you to move your energy up and down.  I found that did not help me to ap.  My conclusion is unless you know people that are into ap, you are probably better off without it.  At least we have the forum.  That is something to be grateful for.

Ya, I also agree with Xanth. You cannot find anyone in your local area for AP/OBE.

Try going down to your local "New Age" store.

In our small city they do all kinds of workshops at our local New Age store and have guest lectures on many subjects including AP.

I was excited when I found a new age store in the area I lived in the states (in the South). But they weren't active anymore :( Sad Panda... Maybe wherever I end up will have something :) However I totally agree that sometimes groups can cause problems... :/

The term 'Congregations' makes my skin crawl.

Szaxx

Change it for another.
It not good for hymn.

Look for the new age book stores ,some will have classes and meet up groups .  Hear is one in Phoenix AZ , Alpha book store http://www.aznewage.com/     Most are easy to find with an on line search .  desert rat

'hymn' makes my skin crawl also!!

Astralzombie

I can't Apostlebly imagine why you have a problem with hymn using the term congregation.
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

It was meant holy as a light objection to using a religious term.

Szaxx

Oh dear.  :-D

It's a shame we don't all live in the same town. I sometimes think this.

Astralsuzy made an excellent point however...

There is a local metaphysical store 5 mins from my house. They hold meditation and other types of classes like spirit guides, astrology, healing with crystals, past lives, etc.
I've only been to the store once to check it out. I've never went to a class, but it def wouldn't hurt. I plan on attending one soon

Bedeekin

They should know you are attending.

There was a brilliant sign recently here in Bray...

"Psychic Fair" with a luminous sticker on it saying "postponed until further notice" and someone had graffiti'd "we know" under it.

Why don't we just get together? Astral Pulse community is huge - it should be pretty doable to put together a bunch of meetings in every big city. Who's from LA? :)

We are already doing this right here!  :-)

We don't need a face to face meeting to share what we are doing and what we are learning.

We do that here everyday!  :-)

There's plenty of ways to video conference. Is it really neccessary?
The personal touch is appreciated, and immediate answers are inherent.
