Hey everyone!

I've been trying to have an AP since last year, when I was first introduced to this 'subject'. Every time I lay down and relax, weird involuntary reactions start taking place in my body. One of them is the fact that my heartbeats increase as I try to relax! it is almost as if when I'm about to have an AP, my heartbeats have a sudden and extreme boom!
What's the wrong with me? Can anyone help?

Hey!
I haven't projected, so I'm definitely not the guru but I think I can help. A lot of people talk about this and the common answer given by leading astral projectors is that your heart isn't really speeding up. If you're aware of chakras, you'll know there is a major chakra located directly where your heart is. When attempting to leave, if there is a blockage of any sort or perhaps just an irregular increase of energy there, it will lead to the sensation that your heart is flipping out. It can get so intense you think you might die. I've experienced it a little bit but do trust me when I say it's nothing to fear. If anything, this will hold you back from leaving until you can accept it happening. Best of luck!

this happened to me a few weeks ago and then on top of the rapid heartrate. My whole chest felt congested and started to heat up and then cooled off like as if i put vick on my chest. It was one of the weirdist symptoms ive gone through with my awakening.

I think the first thing you all (whoever is having this symptom) should do is finding someone who can sit with you while you enter a trance and take your pulse as you are going through it.  Then you can determine whether it is chakra effect or actual heartrate palpitations.
If you don't want to admit why this is happening, tell them that it happens when you are trying to nap, and this will make sure it is indeed a chakra sensation and not actual heart palpitations.

You have to keep deep breathing and do relaxation techniques. I visualize a ball of gold light that is full of warm calming peacefull energy-I mentally move this ball of light from my toes and up through my spine to my head and up and down each arm- Keep focused everytime other thoughts come into your head or your heart pounds focus on this calming ball of light- even hold it over your heart untill it slows down. You will be able to project right after you fall asleep. When you notice you are sleeping become concious and say it is time now.. If you miss this tiTme you can also project right after you stop dreaming before you wake up. Sometimes you can project while you are sleeping- during this time your not concious when you leave your body but you will find yourself floating on the ceiling- or you will feel trapped in a box (your room) when you notice this you can simply move through your wall and take off.... inter dream projections are usually the best for me- I can usually move into higher dimensions easier.
