Afternoon Manix!

Woot!  Sounds like you are well on your way, your astral hands were separated.  Wait until half of your body is floating up and the rest is stuck in...quite funny. [:P]  My arms seem to float out first, I then just need to try getting into a deeper relaxed state to get the rest to come out.

Good luck!

Nay

Yeah. If you get that sensation again. Try to imagine the surface (bed couch whatever) "pushing" your hands up. You'll find that you'll feel your hands are up in the air while the rest of the body is still the same. The cool thing is that you can still feel the bed under your hands and the sheets covering them so they haven't moved at all. Heh. One of the clearest affirmations before you have to mess with the liquidy astral.

Jason.

WHOO HOO![8D]

It took me around an hour to get to that point. Does the proccess speed up, slow down, or move about the same? Or does that depend entirely on how 'in control' of your mindset you are?

Very cool Manix! [:D]
I actually have that same sensation most of the time when I attempt to project! Id know I have my fingers appart, but they fell next to each other (without gaps) It sort of ticked me off at first, but if it is part of the separation process(sp?), then yay!
Again, good for you Manix! [:D] (If that sounded sarcastic, it wasnt meant to be, hehe.)
Much love to all.

Sometimes the time varies for me, I can get the floating sensations in as little as 5-10min..but that doesn't mean all of me is out [;)] And other times, I have meditated for almost a hour and nothing..

I personally think the more you practice the better it gets and getting into a deep relaxed state is important.  The fact that I've been doing that for so many years, it just comes on faster.

Can't wait to hear more from ya Manix!!  You are gonna fly girl!! [:D]

Smiles~ Nay

Edit: I should have said, yes I think a mind set does have alot to do with it.[^]

Alrighty! Last night I managed to ignore the hideous numbing sensation of falling asleep. While this sensation was only in my lower legs and arms, I still consider it progress as I managed to get past the pins and needles sensations for once. Even though my hands and feet were numb I could still 'feel' them via a fuzzy like tingling.

The sensations sound like energy movement. I believe that vibrations are just another expression of the energy movements, so I'd say the fuzzy tingling is also a good sign.

Energy raising should also help float more of you.

Also, being able to relax in less time definitely will happen for you.  I've been working on meditations for over a year, and I can relax much more quickly than when I started. In another post where Nay talked about her method of breathing (in for 5 seconds, hold 5 seconds, out 5 seconds), I have found this to also help in relaxing faster. After a while of doing that breathing exercise, you can just let your lungs breathe you.

I hope you get out soon!

<Is this fuzzy feeling the vibrations?>
Well, after a few minutes of this, the numb areas felt weightless and yet...not. A part of me could still feel the blankets beneath my hands but my hands felt comepletly weightless. A very odd experience indeed becuase everything else (torso, upper legs and arms, head) felt completely normal. Not getting too excited I realized my fingers were resting against each other. This feeling was annoying so I tried to move them. I prefer to practice OBE's with my fingers splayed to cut down on distractions. When I spread my fingers apart, I realized they had never been touching at all! Yet I could clearly still feel the digits held together, and at the same time held apart. I'm assuming this was, perhaps, the beginning of the split? If anything that was the most odd sensation I have ever felt.
However long I tried, I eventually gave up. The sensation of weightlessness never progressed.
