Title: Lucid Dream this morning
Post by: Mystiquemushroom on June 16, 2013, 16:24:02
Okay so I became lucid in my dream this morning using the WBTB method. I've been thinking about what I want to do once I become lucid lately, having an intent, this time I though to instantly fly. But when I did this I think I closed my eyes and imagined myself flying up, but when I did this I lost focus I guess and went right back into my dream, I think I did float up a few feet though.

I think maybe I need to stabilize myself in the new world before I try anything and I was too quick to try to fly, maybe I just need to check out the scenery and walk around a bit before I do anything extreme lol?

You're right on becoming more stable. It's a necessity for progress. We all know of one step at a time. Its slow but permanent and this is required. Eventually you'll be able to run by comparison. Translated into a non physical experience the skys the limit, even then this limit can be broken.
Practice is all it takes with a little time naturally.

You seem very excited and I guess that excitement lost your all focus. Szaxx is also right. You should keep all the points in your mind.

It takes time to fly or transport. Your mind first has to get use to the fact its lucid dreamin (as you're new to it). Kind of like drivng. You have to get use to driving local streets before driving highway.
You'll also build better focus and concentration awareness so your lucid dreams will last longer and you'll from "oh my god a lucid dream...lets try flying" to "Cool my fifteenth lucid dream of the month..what should I do now". Although plan before going to sleep what you want to do in a lucid or semi-lucid dream.

WBTB/NILD are great techniques.
