Title: lucidity when in the astral after death
Post by: Rahzul on February 04, 2005, 21:11:34
A great deal of the time I have astral projections that are not very lucid, or where I lose lucidity in mid-projection. I was wondering, do yall think that's how it'll be after death? I don't plan on dying anytime soon, but I was wondering because if it is likely I won't be fully lucid, I will invest more time in training myself to have more lucidity when I dream and AP so that I won't be non-lucid after I die.

That's what I'm planning! Die conciously, so that you can choose conciously..
After death you end up where you believe you will ..It's nice when you believe in heaven, but much worse if you believe in hell or nothing

How do you know you're not already dead, and just not consciouss of it.

Thats a very interesting point LOGIC    There is a likelihood that we are already dead and that we occasionally reach a subconcious stage where we realise our existence as a mere repetition, like when there is a Deja vu.

I really don't want to think about this as it will drive me insane....

logic, that thought kind of makes me wonder sometimes too.  What if we are already dead and just don't know it.  There are so many books on the Paranormal and from Ghost Hunting where these people attempt to release ghosts that do not know they are dead.  I have been semi lucid in the Astral and had a Spirit Guide tell me to become lucid at which I did.  Probally when we die if we are not fully lucid someone is there to help us out.

Are you planning on suicide then, or to be very aware during death? It's going to suck for you if it's fast then, the pain will be too distracting I guarantee you.

Unless of course there is nothing after wards, in which case you've wasted your time believing it, and possibly committed suicide over it. In that case, atheists win. Jewel power!

Why would it? Its possible to suffer severe injury and feel little or no pain, the body has incredible natural pain killers. Also, if you were actually dying, the sensory input to your brain drops down to nothing, so pain shouldn't be too much of a distraction.

Sensory input during death is like the scene in the movie Saving Private Ryan when Tom Hanks gets stunned while landing on the beach.  Auditory input goes to a tunnel type echo hum and time seems to slow down.  I doubt much pain is felt as the mind goes into protective shock mode and the nervous system slows down.  At that point if were lucky you are obove yourself looking down. Ha.

tibetan buddhism teaches about this, dying conciously, i think it is called clear light meditation. i believe lucid dreaming is practiced in tibetan buddhism as a preperation for death, im not totally sure though. you should read the tibetan book of the dead. it covers all of this.

Few seconds in my case - breaking my arm in my current body was much more painful.

so you've been reincarnated and you remember your previous life paker?
do you remember what happened after your death and before your reincarnation or was it immediate?

Quote from: Easso you've been reincarnated and you remember your previous life paker?

Yes. I remember only the last 10-15 minutes - probably because i felt extremely powerful emotions at that time.

Quote from: Easdo you remember what happened after your death and before your reincarnation

No i don't remember anything except this:

QuoteAfter a few seconds of sharp pain i have lost all my physical senses and went out of my body.

I felt complete weightlessness and for about 2 or 3 seconds the only thing that I could see was the darkness, then I felt huge amounts of love and complete bliss and the Light appeared high above me and I was pulled towards that Light at an extremely high speed.

Next thing that i can remember was in 1981 - i was 3 years old and my cousin was born (again very emotional event for me).

Quote from: Easor was it immediate?

34 years of physical time.
