A few days ago i fell asleep around 1 or two in the moring. Once i turned on my side and closed my eyes to sleep i immediately felt a change in my body. I've fallen asleep fast from being so tired, and i didn't have time to think either when it happened. Before i continue i'll point out that i always sleep with the covers over my face, so i don't see anything when this happens. I also sleep wearing basketball shorts with no shirt on- i read somewhere that certain clothing and sleeping conditions help you astral project easier.

Ok, so the immediate change i felt through my body was extremely sudden, and real.
My entire body started to vibrate and i couldn't move at all. Many different ringing and humming sounds ran through my ears and they were the only things i could hear at that time. My heart started to race, and i thought to myself "Oh, great this is happening again." Since i've already been through this 3 times before, the 4th wasn't really as bad.

I calmed myself down, tried to focus and stop my heart from beating as fast. I felt slightly fearful during this, but something else happened that changed that fear. All of a sudden i felt my head vibrating. Something started hitting it over and over, and it was fast too. It didn't hurt at all either, but the sounds in my ears changed to the sounds of electricity. It felt like sounds of jolts of electricity were hitting my head constantly while running through my body.

I was really scared and started praying. It stopped after a minute or so and i could move again.
This is the only time the vibrating, electricity sounds and jolts have happened.

I've had sleep paralysis happen to me only 4 times. 3 of them happened when i slept laying down on my side. The 4th time was very new to me and much more scary. Can anyone help explain to me what happened?

Sounds like you experienced the classic OBE vibes from sleep paralysis. Scary, but more common than you would think. The vibes won't hurt you, but they can be very intense. Had you stayed passive and worked through the vibrations you could have had an OBE.

Reaffirm to yourself, this can not hurt me - this is just a new experience!
