Projecting from a dream

I've heard and read a bit about phasing but was curious about something which has happened to me a couple of times. It seems like sometimes in my dreams that aren't lucid I decide to meditate. Last night was one of these, I remember being in this fairly nice eating area or sorts, kind of like a place to go outside and sit at a table, the floor was made from a brilliant white sandstone or something to that effect. I remember I was sitting at the table and felt extremely relaxed in the nice sunny weather, and I let my eyelids closed and felt(or at least perceived) some vibrations and an increasingly loud noise. I remember placing my intent to go to the Astral Pulse Island but I kept losing that fleeting feeling, the noise and everything would increase but then slow down, and pick back up. I eventually called it quits, though the later parts of my dream were set at a beach so I possibly redirected my dream.

Would this work is what I'm wondering. I know ive had dreams before where I am sitting somewhere comfortable and I shut my eyes and "project" as if I were awake. But I don't know if it's all just a dream or if I could potentially contact my guide or experience the astral in this state. Any thoughts?

To me, a "dream" is an unconscious projection... it's where you're in the non-physical and you're unconsciously aware at the time.

You were unaware you were in the non-physical when you were doing that stuff.
You can program yourself to do stuff like that while being unaware you're actually doing it.  :)
That's pretty much what you did.

Yeah you can bro, i have done it before i was in a lucid dream and i fly up in the air and floated there and put my arms out and closed my eyes and let the vibrations take place, happened quick ... just let go of yourself and you'll get there

Off by memory i remember coming back to my room and floating around on my bed before i projected too my old house

For me, it's not a change in "place" going from lucid to astral... it's a change in awareness only.

I think the short answer is, yes, it could work.

I have gotten lucid in a dream and then tried "projecting" and subsequently began feeling the vibrations. I have felt a very short and very tenuous body consciousness for just a moment and then projected into a conscious OBE.

Do you meditate on a regular basis in waking life?

The white sandstone is cool. I described it as "that soft astrally glowing white marble". Just curious, was the table like a very ordinary table? I have seen almost anachronistic mix of astral plane/Earth plane furniture and architecture amidst and on top of one another. It might be a place like those astral artwork paintings we see and then there will be like an old wooden picnic table under the glowing marble portico or some such thing.
Beware the fake "seeker" who finds Truth to be abusive.

This is absolutely true. Its almost like you "wake up" but youre still in your dream.  You realise you are dreaming, and take control of it. Then you can think about projection and wham, you will feel the phase happen.  Btw, dont think about it as waking up, otherwise your attempts may lead you to simply wake up.  Just think about it, as becoming aware that youre dreaming. Lucid Dreaming basically.

I do meditate on a regular basis, around 2 times a day usually. And the table matched the ground, it was circular in shape with a matching circular bench. It was very nice, thanks for the all info everyone, I'm definitely going to try it again once I find myself in a dream.
