Hello, i am really sorry for taking a lot of back here but i have been having these dreams while trying to Ap. i always find myself in a dream state and then the Ap/Obe starts in the dream state. its often lucid, i don't know why it happens that way. Again during my Body asleep mind awake state, i am always anxious as to what lies on the other side, i guess thats why i have not been successful. Any useful tip will go a long way

Here is a proven technique that worked for all my friends that wished to experience the Astral. You need an i-pod/MP3 player with headphones/earbuds. Go to these sites and download these in order.

I found that the video by Dreampioneers was fantastic to explain the entire process. The narration is very calming and right to the point. Back that up with a fantastic Binaural Beats MP3 and you are on your way. Every person I talked with that tried this received vibrations, hypnogog imagery and some of them successful projection on their very first time.

I was a bit chicken too when I started. I ask for protection now before I begin and imagine the white light protecting me. Since I've had some fantastic experiences already, I'm way more relaxed about it now. Good luck!

Thanks for all your wonderful reply, I still have some questions concerning AP. I have found out that waking up early in the morning and then going back to sleep always triggers AP although some binaural beats do help get you relaxed I find it almost distracting IMHO.... So I am lying down this morning and then I start hearing sounds like that of a rushing wind and my "body" starts vibrating and I have a very hard time moving. I got the feeling of floating out of my body and  then I could have sworn I saw my ceiling fan appear smaller... I had to hypnagogic imagery or anything of that sort but I sure heard the sound of rushing wind. After I tried "leaving my body" it was really really hard to move.... Dunno what I am doing wrong here but I guess any help on what I am doing wrong will help....

 It sounds like you were already out. I Phase all the time and not once have I "climbed out" or tried to leave my body. All you needed to do was to create an intended destination and you would have been there. That is the point of thought equals action. Great job though.

Intended destination? Like where? Lol. I would like to explore the astral world, probably a spirit guide and find some answers..... To certain questions.

 You have to jump start the projection, than watch it morph form there. Examples, you want to fly through space, you then bring up the image of moving through the stars/planets and then let the Astral take over. Maybe you land on a planet and do some exploring, maybe you hit a wormhole or a totally different dimension. That's the way to explore the Astral. To stay in the RTZ just think of a friend or some where you would like to visit, say a city or something. Next thing you know you will be there. Start water skiing or paddling a canoe, next thing you know you are on the water doing that.

Thanks Lionheart, that was truly insightful I guess I will give it a do... Lol the next time... I was thinking maybe the hypnagogic imagery was necessary. I guess nothing is set in stone. Thanks a lot.

And when you say "take over" does it mean u have no control over what is happening or you mean it starts happening... Just a question.

 It just starts happening, but you can stop it at any time if you wish, just change your intent.  :-)

I was reading some posts and I encountered some questions like "Have you seen some evolved beings?" "Have you seen life in other planets?". I always think that the Astral World is like a little step away from the 3d world like some other plane of existence or is it like a state where u can tune in to RTZ or sth?

 Yes i have, but in the Astral everything and anything is possible. When I did experience other realms it was just a regular scene that morphed into a unique experience. That's why I love the Astral, you never really know what is going to occur. You just start the process and enjoy the ride. At least that's the stage I am currently in. I would love to do in depth research, but I think that will happen over the years. I keep getting shushed and told to just observe right now. So that's what i am doing.  :-)

I was wondering what times are optimum for Ap and is it possible to ap everyday cos I saw where someone was almost bragging a out ap at a maximum of twice a week.

The optimal time is going to be whenever it best for you.  It differs for each person.

For myself, I find first thing in the morning after waking up and waking up in the middle of the night the best times to practice.
You might be completely different.  You'll need to experiment with times.

As for how much... there's no "limit".  Just try to keep a balance between your physical and non-physical life.  Everything has to do with balance.
Don't listen to anyone when they tell you that doing it too much is a detriment.  That's a limitation you place upon yourself.

Thank you Lionheart, and Xanth for your wonderful replies.. I always use binaural beats to get a really relaxed state but I found out it was kinda distracting as I unconsciously latch on to the tones so I stopped using them. But then I started achieving the same state by meditation and just lying there but then I don't  get the body asleep mind awake state but vibrations and the rushing wind sound just start automatically. Right now I can achieve a relaxed state (Very Realxed) but then I stay awake for as long ad I like. No blackness, no OBE, no hypnagogic state... Any "procedures" would be helpful. I get vibrations a lot like whenever I want but dunno where to "go" from there. I am so close😄

Ok... Thanks, but I was of the notion that Astral realms is like a "place" like many minor steps above Matter reality, or is it like a state of mind, if u create a place does it mean you'll see other people there? Pls dnt mind my newbish nature just trying to get clarified.

 When you create your scene, start with something simple. You can expand it on later. Start with a simple stream or beach. Just watch the water for awhile. As you get more comfortable with that, expand your vision a bit, is there anything on the water, can you see a shore, rocky cliffs etc? Once comfortable there, expand it a bit more. What's happening on the shore, are there other people/entities there? What are they doing, can you hear them, if you want to, just observe right now. It's a lot easier to observe than it is to jump in the scene. That will come later with more practice. This is not a race, we have no need to rush, this is a skill that you will develop further with time, patience and practice. Take a few minutes out of your busy day to practice often, just close your eyes and create a scene. Something that is comfortable and feels safe to you. I do this in the shower all the time now, but I don't have to create it anymore, it's just there now, all I need to do is walk into it.

Hello, Woke up early this morning and started the processes of Aping. I got to the  vibration phase and then I couldn't tell if I fell asleep or what, one thing I remember, my body was kinda heavy and I couldn't phase or roll out.. But then I started hearing a voice which said.. "Your body is like a baby and doesn't understand whats going on, you have to let it know that the projection process doesn't concern it so it'll let you go" that's what I heard. I understand what it meant but then how do I let it know that it doesn't concern it (my body) thank you for your anticipated reply. I love you all!

Hello there... How do keep from falling asleep. I get the vibrations but then no buzzing sound but it always in a sleep state. I mean I get vibrations in a dream, is that even possible. The only time I don't fall asleep I get the buzzing sound and I am more in control but I rather few. The question is how do I keep from falling asleep.

It's ok to fall asleep. My OBEs always happen after I meditate then go back to bed. This is the routine that works best for me and I've read that other experienced OBEers do the same. Once you are out of body, looking at your hands or feet and staying active will help you maintain wakefulness during your ObE. I struggle with falling asleep once I'm out and can't decide what to do next. :-)
