Afterdark

I've been attempting to AP for a while, off and on, some periods more some less.  I figured out level meditation/relaxation that I can get to definitely, but I'm not sure what to do afterwards.

I lay in bed for a while and after my thoughts calm down and I lose focus I get this sudden feeling of everything getting dark, and the room getting either bigger or smaller (forgot which).  Its not gradual, it happens so fast that I immediately notice it and start thinking about it, then catch myself (because too much thinking is bad  :-D ).  I usually just visualization things, or do the normal energy body visualization and try to either sink or rise out of my body.  I'm not getting anywhere.  Any tips, or anyone know if this is a different level of consciousness?  Theta, etc...

My most successful experiences come when I lay down to project and doze off after about 30-40 minutes (though it only feels like 10 seconds).  When I wake up (maybe 10 minutes later) I am usually in a very deep state and it just feels different from normally induced trance states.  I almost always feel vibrations when I come to.  Then I just increase the vibrations (when it happens you'll know how) and then the vibrations reach a sort of critical mass and it feels like I'm being "electrocuted" and then I'm out.  Don't be afraid to let yourself doze off if you're not too tired.  That's why "nap time" is a good time.

Afterdark

I'll try again tonight, yesterday was the first time in a long while and I just couldn't get comfortable, my hair/bed/noises were bothering me, even though I did reach that state I had to pee when I got to it.

I noticed that I've been feeling my pineal gland and kind of like electricity/tickles on the top of my head (crown chakra) and I just feel that if I try again I'll be so much more successful.
