Hey Kalonek,

It is possible yes, and it's something very useful. While in trance I usually think of a song to make me go deeper into the trance and project. Initially it starts playing in the background very faintly, and when I concentrate on the song willing it to get louder it gets very clear, like I'm on headphones listening to a cd.

One time I did this and made the song 'No Rain' by Blind Mellon start playing. I got out and went out through the window to find myself on the roof terrace of a building. I saw large heavy clouds, it was extremely clear, the air was so beautiful I can't explain, it was all just so pure. I scream in joy and the images darken a bit, I realize I better not scream or I might come back. I go on exploring walking on the outside of the building (like spiderman), I must be on the 9th floor. From there I can see the whole city, a parking lot, a few mountains far ahead, but no people, no movement. I try to fly down to the parking lot but end up losing it and awaking.

The song kept on playing till the end of the experience, but I didn't get to the end of the song. It might have lasted for 2 minutes.

Hi AndrewTheSinger!
I have also experienced many times the "song" effect while in deep relaxation, and in fact it's what lead me to think about music in astral travel [^]  Usually as you describe it well, it starts in the background, while thinking at other things, and becomes louder an clearer if listen to, and it really is exactly like the real song ! Eventhough i usually don't know the lyrics, it plays really fine, strange ! Must be the subconscious mind that "recorded" it...
Anyway, your experience is a good answer to my question: music while OBEing IS indeed possible! Cool! [:P] Lots of experiences to do with this! Has anyone else have a similar experience to share ?
Thx a lot Andrew [|)]

I also experienced music; except that I did not (consciously) created it.  They were nice music that (I think) I never heard before.

By example one was some very nice music like in "Out of Africa" movie, while I was "falling" from the sky.  Another one was the type of little songs you play with your guitar in front of a fire.  Simple but nice too.

Wow, cool experience [:)] I wish I could have a bit of music in the background while doing my APs, as most of the time there are without sound, or only astral noises (voices etc). It would be helpful to overcome some fears by giving me more courage sometimes [;)]

PS : French too ! [:D]

I've "heard" many things in astral that could be considered music, and made some. When I make it in astral, it surrounds me and my spirit becomes the shape of the waves of the sound. Usually it gives me energy, which I immediately put back into the music making it bigger, which gives me more energy. My energy level can increase fast in that cycle.

There's this nice thing written on music heard by people who are passing away and those around them:

It is very inspiring.

I was juste wondering, as we happen to have the ability to make things by visualizing them in the astral (altough they don't last very long), has anyone ever experienced some sort of musical OBE ? I mean by this an OBE or astral trip were the sound was very present, maybe even somebody have tried to make his favorite musics appear in the astral to follow him and create a more familiar atmosphere. I don't know if it's possible though, but i think it would be something interesting to test, as it would greatly lower newbies' fears if they can have a bit of "astral" music in the background. I've wanted to do this experience for a long time but i always forget about it when i'm out ... [|)]
