No need to worry about details like whether you see bodies in the RTZ. At my old place I was able to see my body after projecting because several people had seen me sleeping there and so the astral imprint was strong.
However at my new place no one has seen me asleep in my bed so when I look at myself I don't see anything there.
The RTZ is sort of like an akashic record of peoples' collective impressions of things, it's not at all a perfect mirror of the way things really are in the physical.
Wow...that makes sense..thanks cube..
Another note: this is the first time i have projected from a semi waking state conciously. Can anyone explain how or why i felt no exit syptoms? vibrations etc..i just got up and out..
Hey Zangatese [:)]
I've only seen my physical once and frankly that was enough, I found if I focused on it I would be right back there. [:P] so as soon as I get out, I get as far away as I can. I also found that my vision cleared up better the further away I got...but everyone is different.[;)]

I decided to test myself and put my arm through the wall. This was awesome
It is cool isn't it?..lol. I went to shoot through the ceiling once and I'll be darned if I didn't smack right into it and float back to the floor. I did it three times before finally making it. It is hard to explain, but that was one funky feeling..[^]
My advise...don't even bother thinking about your physical, shoot through the ceiling and have fun..[:D]
Nay
Most of the times, the pillows are ordered like someone is lying there. Sometimes I would see a pulsating mass above my bed or a pressure on it. Once I have measured the frequency of pulsation. It has something to do with the vibrations and head pressure.
Seeing my own corpse is very rare (I could count it on my hands), but I have a method to do that. Seeing myself was freeky first, later serve me as laugherable times...until I've cut my hair...
Hi Nay!
So most times you dont see your physical either?? Iam so relieved. Iam gonna be concentrating on doing some more trippy matrix type manouvers next time!!
Also, you are right about the vision, i will try and venture outside on my next experience[;)]
I wish it was easier to induce from awake for me! Guess I'll have to wait a while..[:(!]
yeah i tried going through my cieling and i hit my head the first couple times before making it why is this?
Mar, according to Robert and it makes sense, it's a matter of our belief system...in that I mean, you believe you can do it or not.[:D]
I was soooooo determined to do it, so I made it! Sometimes I have a bulldog mentality and just don't let go... Hmmmmm, I'm sure I do that for other things as well..[;)]
Nay
Whoaa...I learned a few valuable things of this thread
1) RTZ doesn't have to be 100% the same
2) You don't have to be able to see the body
And I too had several would be OOB's in my room without the exit scenario's!
Never seen then body either!:D
You know what next time I find out I awaken in my astral body, DOOOOOOOORWAY here I come ..HA!
later;)
Actually, 'real time zone' is a misnomer because there's nothing real time about it! A better name would be 'residual zone' or 'memory realm' or something that alludes to the fact that it's created by the running average of people's interpretation of the physical world over time.
I always expected to see my physical body if I exited to the RTZ and after it happened I could not see it,just like I am reading accounts of here. There is alot in common happening between all of us. I however have read the the RTZ is what can be discribed as a energy replica of the physical open to reality fluxuations. I however have found this not to be the case so far. I perceive it as the same as my physical environment.

This is exactly how i percieve it. Prone to HUGE reality fluctuations. I only have to step through a door. Everything else, though, has been pretty accurate -things in my room etc..i guess cos im in it so much i have built up a good energy reflection of it.
Does anyone else actually project directly to somewhere other than the RTZ though? i always seem to start off in my room. without this i couldnt confirm i was OB.
i guess it may be different for those of you who induce it from a waking trance type state which i something i havent been able to achieve yet.

Aaahh...and here I sat drooling at the endless possibilities of mastering astral projecion. Well I guess it's still pretty accurate right?
Also..here's a thought that crossed my mind. While living in our physical world, we might as well are being under constant observation by more advanced spiritual beings in the astral version of the RTZ right?
Yeah we definitely have no privacy here in the physical, when we die we'll find out just how little privacy we had all along. It's like we're living our lives naked in the middle of the street wearing blindfolds and anyone else can watch us.
Also, in terms of how accurate the RTZ is. Because it's a reflection of our collective interpretation, I don't think you can do things like discover diamond mines and so forth by looking underground in the RTZ. If no one knows the diamond mine is there, then there will be no record of it in the RTZ.
Probably you'd have to go to a higher plane and look in the akashic records for something like that, but if you can make it all the way to the higher planes consistently then you are probably going to be beyond having to worry about material desires.
One thing that I want to learn to do is how to create extra time in the astral so that I can project and stay there for 20 years learning things and then come back the same morning in the physical knowing how to speak a dozen languages. Or better yet find out how to absorb information instantly without having to learn it.
You can't learn to much, because the information must be downloaded to the brain and that takes time. The brain has a limited capacity, because the speed of the molecular/neural processes required for learning have a speed limit.
True but if we can use our etheric eyes as if they're physical eyes then we can also use our etheric brain as a physical brain. If we learn things in our etheric brain and then learn to turn on astral thinking just like you could trun on astral sight then you don't have to worry about physical limitations.
I see your point and hope you're right. However, as I know, the "etheric brain" is the mind itself. Perhaps it's only a question of definitions...
Anyway, the etheric body is a real time system, so has their own limitation too, similar to the brain. By "leaving the brain", some neural processes indeed are eliminated from the equation, but only substitued by the almost real time recombination of ionic structures of the etheric body. A link to a very interesting article will elaborate this midway perspective:
http://www.vxm.com/21R.7.html
But consider the endless possibilities of the deep astral! We can live thousands of years (and we do it actually in other reality systems) while the little arrow of the hour beside the bed don't move even a second. Because of the limited speed of any RTZ and RTZ-bound system, this enormous information can't be downloaded to and accessed by our awake consciousness - even not via the "etheric body."
According to Seth, we can get any information from the universe we're capable to handle (and believing to), but we're hoplessly bounded by time.
It could be possible to meld part of your etheric brain to the akashic records and then when you're in the physical you can selectively access the bits you need without having to download the whole thing.
There's a lot of stuff that could be done by having fluid access to both dimensions. I have a feeling that highly talented poets and musicians are doing that on a subconsious level.
This is exactly what I believe.

I thought about that too! Wouldn't it be great if we can learn stuff in a timeless astral plane? It makes alot of sense too, I mean damn, this way you can use your time even better in the physical, without having to hit the books!
I mean damnit, to set an example, you could get away with no studying for your education! Just go astral and download/learn all the information! Damn...just damn....I need to master astral projection quickly ! :D Wow when we're talking like this, an earthly education would be utterly useless...Exciting.
This one got me real excited.
I was in a semi waking state this morning, about 12 ish. I was still tired and could feel sleep dragging me back, so rather than think too much and wake myself up, i decided to go with it.
I let sleep take over by listening to my subconcious, which was rhyming to me. The voice sounded like someone i had listened to the night before, but it was coming directly from my subconcious. I laid there, completely unaware of my body, but awake, just listening to these rhymes, quite astounded. I couldnt quite concieve how i was making this up to myself without flaw and in such depth.
After quite a few minutes of this (it kept me amused for quite some time) i decided in a flash that i must be at a state where i can 'leave' my body. So i did just that. Sat up and got out. Ran to the end of my room which isnt far from the bed. About 3 feet.
I say ran because it felt like my legs were moving quickly. But i dont recall actually climbing out of bed which would have normally been a physical struggle. I just got up, and out. No vibrations, no exit syptoms, nothing.
As i stood at the end of my bed, I looked to see if mine and my partners body was there. Nothing. I could not SEE any bodies. My vision was blurred round the edges, but this is somewhat normal for me when im OB. I concentrated and looked for at least a full minute, as this was most frustrating for me. The only confirmation that would make the experience 100% real for me was not there.
So i gave up on looking for my body and partner, they clearly just were not visable to me. I decided to test myself and put my arm through the wall. This was awesome. Then, for some reason, rather than just normally hunt round the house i decided to imagine myself in my living room, but was having a hard time picturing it. So when i opened my 'eyes' i was still in my room but things looked distorted. Kinda got scared then and within a nano second of thinking about being back in my body, i was.
I woke up with a start and checked how the bed looked and how the room looked. I couldnt tell whether we had both been under the covers or something.
I want to know why i cant see my own body when im OB!!!
Last time this happened I couldnt see my body but I felt it and ended up going back into my body. So i KNOW its there!! i just cant see it!!
Anyone have any info on this phenomena? Am i the only one who cant see humans in the astral?? Its a strong possibility my partner was under the covers but i know i couldnt have been completely covered!!
I feel as if maybe to see my own body would be too much of a shock to me or something..who knows..any replies would be great.
Thanks for reading.
