It seems like I fell asleep and then I woke up and felt the whole entire bed vibrating or maybe it was my body not sure.  But it was vibrating, I started to look for my cell phone thinking it was on vibrate and someone was calling me. I didn't find the phone and turned the light off, went back to bed and fell asleep. What do you think I have experience?

Hey Paul,
I don't know what happened to you but I experienced the exact same thing two nights ago!  It's never happened before so I was very surprised.  I thought it was an earthquake.  I know I hadn't been sleeping very long when it happened and I was extremely tired (only about 3 hours sleep the previous night).  I would be very interested to know what it's all about as well.  I've been trying to AP for a while but I was too tired to try that night.  Hopefully someone can explain it.

What method did you use?

Idk, this might be differet, but you know when you get really excited or inspired, your whole body sort of 'vibrates' like static-y feeling? Well last night i started to pump energy into my 3rd eye, and try to project for the first time, and my whole body went on and off with these weird vibrations. It felt sort of... good in a weird way. Roughly like a massage, just lighter and more complete.

haha silly, this is the infamous vibes! in laymens you are in the process of creating a copy of yourself so you can "pop" out of your body into the real time zone.

next time it happens, just go with the flow and you will find yourself floating around your room.

Man, I am so mad now that i made it stop. It was so strong and so real too.... It was very strange good in a way feeling. How can I replicate it?

I've experienced these vibrations a lot. Some people say they are mild or tingly, but I buzz like a chainsaw. When they get that intense my whole body starts to "wobble" back and forth, and after a few seconds I start to separate.

Then I freak out and get sucked back. This happened 2 nights ago, but was about the 20th time.

But here's what happened last night using Frank's phasing method: I got relaxed and started doing a rundown I created. Sometime during this, I fell into a fuzzy/half-conscious hypnogogic state where I was listening to people have a conversation about these twins(?) that are on TV. Then, I'm looking at a console TV that's sitting on brownish/red carpet, with twin girls on the screen. I'm absolutely amazed as to how real this image is, then I'm back in bed, looking behind my eyelids.

No vibrations felt the entire time.

So I think I'm now beginning to see what Frank has been talking about. His last newsletter explained this well.  The vibrations can come when astral projecting, but definitely aren't necessary. I've been experiencing them for years, but now I think I shouldn't have been so hung up on them.

Where can I find Franks method?

Yesterday I tried my third or so attempt at AP (normally I am too freaked to try it, even during the day) but I went ahead...

I have a dream-catcher above my bed hanging from the cieling... I looked at it and then focussed myself internally.... The further I went with it the higher I felt... I literally was starting to feel high like on a drug of some sort.. I would occasionaly close my eyes and still see the dream catcher then reopen them to see my cieling with all sorts of patterns melting and swirling around it...

At this point my body started twitching all over, and vibrating like it was on a wavy magic carpet flying through the air (i felt no movement though).. then my thumbs would move involuntarily... and I was trying to let my third eye look down on me from where I wanted to project myself and I was practically visualizing it.... all the while the vibrations were consistently powerful..... but I remained in my body the whole time.

Keep it up Forw4rd, you are on the right track. :)

I gave you a link to Frank's method but I don't know if you've read the whole FAQ section, I suggest you do, if you haven't.

A few more notes on my experience...  the vibration came with a feeling of being paralyzed.. THe longer I laid there and stared at the wall the more paralyzed I became... At first I jsut felt like something was holding me still and then at the end, right before I got freaked out and forced myself out of it, my jaw begun to get frozen along with the rest of my body..

I think it was the jaw that scared me but it was the last noticable part of my body to begin to numb and freeze.. The vibrations were occuring while this happened and there was a loud high pitched noise in my head getting louder and louder.. when i tried to picture myself out of my body nothing happened....

What does this mean? how can I make myself lift up or pop out or whatever...... :(

just thought id fill u guys in. theres no such thing as astral travel. its called dream sharing/lucid dreaming. those vibrations are a normal part of SP, Sleep Paralysis. its so your body doesnt move when u do in a dream. its normal and happens everynight while u dream. aware of it or not it happens.

you guys should check out www.dreamviews.com they got a great forums with people who arent imagining things that arent true. when you pop out of your body your really just in your mind, awake while dreaming.

You're always in your mind. You are your mind. As for the body ... what happens when you die? Is consciousness limited only to the brain? If not, then you're not always in your body.

Maybe you should think about these things before making petty arguments about terminology.

Before you start talking about dreaming, you better define the nature of dreaming first. You better have a solid base to stand on before making any assumptions.
