I THINK I Was Close

First off, I use the Astral Projection frequencies as it helps to keep me focused and more relaxed. Last night, I progressed further then that "feeling like a blanket is on you" stage. I became really out of it and I felt light, like I was floating. The sensation  was as if I was on a boat with my eyes closed, and was just sort of waving about. And it was still dark as well. Did I get closer to actually having the OBE? I felt kind of stuck like I couldn't detach. I'm thinking I got closer but I'm not sure.

That sounds to me like a definite success! Great Job Beau!  :-)
Now you just have to let it deepen and then you will just morph into the visual scenario as well. I love that rocking, expanding feeling. It goes great with creating a scenario with motion, like either simply being aboard a boat, driving a automobile, racing down hills while skiing, winding around the curves of a Rollercoaster track, the skies the limit.

Now I always get confused... I'm just not sure how to completely release myself. Like.. I've read the techniques on it on the forums here, but I just can't picture how to like.. sit up without sitting up? If that makes sense. And also if I can open my eyes to look around, I'm afraid if I do my progression will disappear.

 Just do what you are doing. Stay the Course and allow it to develop. Passively observe everything that happens, with an air of curiosity. Disengage the brain and allow what happens to happen. You already have the movement/motion feeling, now just let that deepen. You will see it take on a life of it's own.
Sometimes we try so hard to make something happen. Well with this practice it's just the opposite. You don't make it happen, you allow it to happen!  :-)
