hello

welcome to the astral pulse!

i have lots of sleep paralysis... with vibrations! i don't expect them so i normally try to move and wake up... ohh i get them like when i am sleeping... so out of nothing i "wake up" vibrations are really high i don't find my self paralysed for some time, it really comes hard and strong right when i can open my eyes i get the vibrations, can't move, etc...

in fact i never really tried to project, errr i wanted to sleep, hehe.

Do deep breaths to raise energy when you are in sleep paralysis and you'll OBE every time.

The next time i experienced sleep paralysis, i could hear things like muffled movements from the next room although no one was there. I have also on previous occasions heard voices and someone saying my name very clearly

They are just visions and sounds from another realm of existance..it is easy to tune to other realms when in vibe state!

And...I am sure you will OBE in a short time :)

Sleep paralysis can be a tricky thing, it too often leads to me waking up.   It is very easy to induce an OBE during the state you are in though.   Next time try to... I have before but I too often get scared/wake up.

Thanks for your replies!!

I had my first OBE on Saturday whilst waking up from a nap. It only lasted about 30 seconds but at least i know im making some progress!

After feeling the vibrations and floating upwards, i could see i was level with the headboard about a foot above the bed. My vision was blurred and dream like so i thought to myself id better check to see if my body is in bed. The moment i thought this i immediately found myself doing so. I was searching about the bed ( i couldnt see clear enough) and I accidently put my left astral 'hand' on my physical back which instantaneously remerged me with my body. [:(!] I again felt the vibrations but was too excited to concentrate and woke up completely.

It always happens when i least expect it [:D]

I should have checked by looking at my hands and seeing if they melt or something. Anyone know any quick checks to see if your definately OB?

Also, for next time, should i just demand clarity or what? my vision wasnt clear and i dont think i heard anything either, even though there was alot of noise going on downstairs.

Thanks for your help!

Fly away from your body to gain vision clarity, the 'clarity now' command has never worked for me.

Try seeing if you can stretch your fingers out a foot to test if your out of body.

Thank you all for your sharing... [:)]

Hey Zangatese. I have experienced several times that when in paralysis you can just relax and move, and you will be moving nonphysically.

Do you know how many hours you sleep before waking up?

Cube. Please tell me about this breathing thing. When in paralysis you PHYSICALLY take deep breaths and this helps you out, by building energy? Would you please expound on this???

Thank you Zangatese for sharing the potency of going to project after waking up. I often get the best and most vivid dreams while snoozing in the morning.

cube

My undestanding of how OBEs work at this point is that there are two things you need to project:

1.) Consciousness focused into a nonphysical area
2.) Enough energy to create the etheric double

When you are in sleep paralysis you automatically have 1.), you've woken up into an etheric plane. However if you don't have enough energy to create the double you'll just sit there seemingly stuck to your body.

By performing a series of full deep breaths you bring pranic energy into your system and will create an astral body naturally. You'll probably know it when you've separated and you can just get up and get going. If you don't detect the separation, then if you do enough deep breaths you gain so much energy that you'll probably float off without trying.

It is unwise to try to fight sleep paralysis and try to thrash around. If you don't want to project and just want to break the paralysis, do the breaths and then end the projection immediately when you feel you can move your body.

One other note about 1.), I've found that lying down to meditate and letting my mind visually daydream will let me latch onto imagery that seems to be a precursor to a projection. It seems like if you create highly realistic hypnagogic imagery you create a space in the etheric plane that is all set up for your consciousness to project into.

Zangatese

thanks for that cube...ill try it next time..

cezyl..i probably sleep 8 or 9 hours a night, by the morning time i tend to wake up and go back to sleep 2 or 3 times before i actually get up, if i dont have anything to get up for that is..[;)]I always find this is the time when i dream most vividly or wake up in sleep paralysis or OBE vibrations.

Zangatese,

You mentioned sometimes vibrations are present during sleep paralysis and
sometimes not. I can explain this. When vibrations are not present this
usually means your real-time double has already been projected or extruded
from your etheric body and is floating like a tethered cloud above your
etheric body. Essentially real-time projection has already happened and your
waking up in the etheric body. This doesn't stop you from having an astral/
lucid dream projection but the real-time body has been already projected
which is what naturally happens during sleep. When you experience vibrations
your etheric body is ready to project it's real-time double and you can do this
by holding your concentration on co-ordinates or a position in the room and
feeling yourself there. That action of concentration held for long enough
causes the real-time double to project or extrude to those co-ordinates.
Think of yourself in a standing up pose.

Sincerely,

Matthew Kingsley

Thank you for sharing Mattew. [:D]  How do you know this?

Zangatese

Matthew,

The last time i had sleep paralysis the feeling i got was vibrational, but also as if i was hovering just above my real body. i could move (i rolled over) as if i was already out of my body.. I didnt get any further than this so next time i'll try concentrating like you said. Thanks for that.

Also, abit off topic, i had a lucid dream the other night..the moment i realised i was lucid i was face down on the bed (in my dream) and was instantly vibrational and floating upwards. The only difference was i could hear myself very clearly in my head thinking 'rise up, float upwards' which is normally how i concentrate on floating out my body but hearing myself so clearly and the room being so dark kinda scared me and i woke up.

so whats the deal with lucid dream astral projection? arent you technically already in that realm when your lucid dreaming?? how is it possible to OBE from there when theres only a dream body to project from?? Maybe my brain was just duplicating the feelings for my dream???
Thanks for all the input so far, its getting really more and more interesting everyday. [:)]

Hey all. I'm very excited. [:D]

I am getting closer to an experience. The last few nights, doing the waking up and then going back to sleep, I got some good dreams. This morning, earlier this morning, I had two instances of something holding tightly to my hand, which I went to shake off and realize I was squishing it due to how I was laying. I was in partial paralysis I'd say. And later, in a second practice for the day, going back to sleep again, I was in definite paralysis after some dream sequences. I sat up one time, but the rest I was too afraid for the dream was that someone was breaking into the house. I was reacting to the dream rather than pushing the projection. I am closer though. Thanks again for all your help. [:)]

Zangatese

Hi there, im new to this forum but have been lurking for a while so i think im ready to share my experience with you all..hope ive posted it in the right place..

Recently i have been experiencing more and more sleep paralysis, usually if i get up in the morning then go back to bed after an hour or so. The last two times its happened have been weird for me because although i had experienced it before, i was afraid of it and tended to back away from the situation. This time was different.
I 'woke' up in bed completely paralysed although i was thinking clearly. I was immediately aware of the situation and began concentrating on lifting myself out of my body. However, doing so caused an increasingly excruciating ringing in the ears so i was forced to stop. I think at this point it turned into a lucid dream. Is this possible? it may be that i was just dreaming lucidly the whole time. But the ringing in the ears caused sensitivity for days after.

The next time i experienced sleep paralysis, i could hear things like muffled movements from the next room although no one was there. I have also on previous occasions heard voices and someone saying my name very clearly. This is annoying because I usually get freaked out and my concentration tends to waver. HOwever, this time i let go of the fear and concentrated on moving what you might call my 'astral' body.
I could feel myself hovering about 1 or 2 inches just above my earthly body on my bed. I had read rolling over is a good way to get out so i tried and i could roll over but i stayed in the same spot. The feeling I got was just wobbly all over and hard to explain. Thinking back i didnt feel as if i had limbs as such just more of a torso??? i dunno.  Much to my disappointment i woke up and realised that had i just used the same will to move as i did to roll over i could have most likely got up and wandered about my room. [:(!]

Anyway thanks for reading if you got this far and i was wondering whether anyone could tell me if sleep paraylsis is closely linked with OBE. Those experiences are the closest I have been as i cannot seem to induce the 'mind awake/body asleep' state from wakefullness. Also, could anyone shed anymore light on the ears ringing thing? i did read the other thread on it but mine happened inside a lucid dream (i think)[?]Is projection possible from lucid dreams?

Sorry for the prolonged post..any feedback, thoughts or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Take care,

Z
