I have been doing some light reading on Astral projection since about a month ago i told a friend of mine that i some times dream that i'm laying in bed and open my eyes but i can't seem to move any part of my body but my eyes, then i feel like a bad sensation and start to force myself to move my body, like if i had a Straitjacket until i finally do and wake up, she told me that when people dream that they are a step from astral projecting.
So for about a month, and I've been playing relaxing sounds on my stereo to sleep, and lying on my back with my hands on my chest to induce that feeling or dream, with no luck.
but two nights ago i didn't even tried to astral project, i just put the same sounds in the stereo and forgot about it, but about 2 hours into sleep i remember i started to have the same dream but instantly i remembered not to panic and i don't remember if i tried the rope pulling technique first, during or after i started shaking intensely, it felt like when you are doing crunches and burnout that you start to shake doing the last crunch, and also like the sound and feeling of turbulence in an airplane. then i finally got to pull myself up and i only got to a sitting position in my bed with my legs straight, but i did not see them because there was a thick mist covering all below my waist, i did not see the walls in my bedroom, just all dark open space, the mist kind of reflected a very dim purple or blue light. i was very curious and was thinking in standing up but somehow i got pulled back and the very moment i touched the bed with my back i woke up, i saw my room again and thought that perhaps i was still astral projecting and wanted to get up and start exploring, but i finally realized i was really awake. Does this fit as Astral Projection??
Hello and Welcome to the Astral Pulse! :-)
Yes, this sounds like a very "brief encounter".
Congratulations, by putting your toe in, to test the water, you confronted your fears of the unknown.
Here's to many more! :-)
Welcome, your words are what lots of newcomers are saying. The purple colour is very prominent too. Keep going and have no fear about it. Stay calm and use thoughts to move around. Tell yourself its easy and simply just do it.
Have fun learning.
I had an experience much like yours. I went to sleep, not trying to project, and I woke up on the floor of my bedroom. Everything had a purplish tint, it was very brief though. I looked at my body and got sucked into it, and woke up almost immediately. At the time, I didn't realize anything had happened, and just went back to sleep, but when I awoke in the morning, I went over it in my head and realized that it was such a clear and real experience. Seems like you're on the right track, keep doing what you are doing!
Greetings and welcome to AP forum. Pleased to see you here. Congratulations for your first experience. Keep it up. Enjoy your stay.
That's what I call an OOBE, however brief. You have saturated your mind with the idea of projecting so your consciousness went to work for you as soon as you got out of your own way. Don't over analyze every little thing. In fact, don't analyze anything. Just take note of it and move on.
Thank you all for your input, this is a great forum! last night i tried it again with no luck, i guess like you said I'm over analyzing.
About 3 months ago i was giving a try to meditation, played meditation sounds on my stereo, but after a while i got sleepy and decided to take a nap, it was about 10am and i had a short dream, where i heard my brother opening the door of my bedroom to see if i was awake, So as soon as I hear the door opening in my dream I wake up sit up and look at the door but it was closed, about 3-4 seconds passed and my brother opened the door to see if I was awake just like in my dream.
Was this a dream? Or was this also an Astral Projection?
