There could be many reasons why a person returns back to their body when they are in a projected state (the main one probably being a lack of mental control and discipline).  If you get too excited, scared, or any other surge of emotion starts flowing through you, this could end the experience if you're not used to dealing with these things while "out."

And what do you think about my technique to have an obe? I relax very good my body and after is very heavy or light and my mind also VERY calm. I do that for one hour and half is that enough?

Your technique itself sounds good, since you're accomplishing the main obstacles that one must overcome in order to project (being relaxed, passive, etc).  However, I would say that 1.5 hours is a long time to try and relax.  Perhaps you have more patience than me, because there is no way I could try a technique for that long.

Usually, if I can't relax or obtain the desired level of focus within 30 minutes, I roll over and go to sleep.  I'm not saying that is a good or bad thing, mind you.  However, I know that some people try and force something to happen, and they end up getting discouraged if they invest a lot of time into something and then see no return on their investment.

I try to do it for more hours but i feel i can't stay more like that without moving. Is this wrong and i should push my self to practice more hours?

You know, there isn't one right way to do this.  What works for you may not work for me, and vice versa.  One of the most important things about learning to project is to KNOW YOURSELF.  When you are relaxing and trying to get to a certain pre-OBE focus level, pay attention to what works for you.  You may be a more visual person and focus on visual techniques, whereas someone else may focus on the ringing in their ears to accomplish the same thing.

Likewise, you may NEED to spend 1.5 hours to help yourself grow in these areas.  Others may only need 15 minutes.  It all depends on the individual.

And one more thing....if you're trying to relax and you feel like moving, then move.  Don't make the mistake in thinking to yourself, "Gosh, I've already been laying here motionless for 30 minutes, and if I move, it will wake my body up and everything I've already done will have been a waste of time."  THIS IS NOT TRUE!

Getting up and moving can be a good thing for two reasons:

1) It removed the distraction from your mind.  Think about it.  What's easier: laying motionless while you have an itch that you purposely don't scratch, or scratching it, and then going back to your relaxation?  If you need to move, then move, adjust, or stretch, and start over.  The benefit is that you'll get back to where you were faster than it took you to get there before.

2) I forgot reason number two. [:D]

Am i on the right track? Since then i still do meditation but i get no vibrations beside some swaying and expanding feelings after 1 hour.
Please tell me what do you think and sorry for this be too long [:I]

Again, it all depends on the individual.  For ME, one hour is too long.  For YOU, it may be just right.  It's all about knowing yourself and what works for you.

And remember, don't look for the vibrations.  You may never, ever feel them.  I don't.  Instead, just be passive and watch the thoughts and images that come behind your closed eyelids.  Don't focus on them.  Let them come and go.  The longer you do this, the longer the images remain in your field of vision.

Then they will take on a three dimensional quality.  If you can get to this stage, then you're right at the door of projecting!

Purelight,
Welcome to the forum! I really can't think of anything to add that Jeff hasn't already covered, so just listen to him -- he's giving you good input.

As to 1 1/2 hours not being long enough, I'm luckyto get a half-hour of uninterrupted "quiet time". I don't think it's how long, it's just staying with it on a regular basis. As I said, listen to Jeff. [;)]

Jeff,
I'm glad someone besides me forgets stuff! I've been trying to remember for 3 days now to get the author and title of a book I want to mention and it's still laying right where it was. Tomorrow, I'll definitely bring it tomorrow ..... now what was I going to bring? [:D]

Thanx a lot both for your advices. I must realise that i am new to obe so it is too early to expect massive things to happen (23 days).
I did project but it was short and acidental cause my body was at the right state. I will just keep practice.
About the vibrations i have felt them and i know exactly how they feel usualy as i woke up in my bed paralyzed!! I am not good at all at visualization and that's the reason i practice obe through meditation.

Hello to everyone. It's been 3 months that i discover about obe, lucid dreams,,paralysis and all that.
I used to have them in the age of 15 and after for a lot of years.
Usualy i will woke up in the midle of the night and felt as i was floating above and i was feeling a very strong wind as i was paralyzed. Ofcuarse i got scared but now i am not anymore.

My first obe was before 2 years as i was lying on my bed for maybe 3 hours and more and i was CONCETRATE and sudenly i heard voices around me and then a "click" sound and i felt i was floating in the air just a litle above my body. Imediately i thought, how i go back now (not with panic) and right after i was back in my body.
After that i never tried again till now. No reason...

It's been 23 days exactly till today that i am using meditation technique to archieve obe. Before one week as i was doing my usual exercice with meditation and i was at a point where my body was numb, very heavy and my mind realy calm i felt asleep but i was at a state half awake half dreaming. Then i remember that i was dreaming when sudenly the dream stoped and as i was in my bed with eyes closed i felt leaving my body!! I felt i was floating above and i thought i want to go to the celing. The it stop and i slowly returned back to my body.

My question is why i returned back? And what do you think about my technique to have an obe? I relax very good my body and after is very heavy or light and my mind also VERY calm. I do that for one hour and half is that enough? I try to do it for more hours but i feel i can't stay more like that without moving. Is this wrong and i should push my self to practice more hours?
