Languages in the astral planes?

Hello! I'm new here and fascinated by what I am reading. I think I am blessed enough to be a natural projector, I have been doing it since I was a kid (I'm 26 now) without really knowing what's going on beyond the fact that I'm having an OBE, I generally just explore and talk with people aimlessly. A few times I've made it to places that are beautiful beyond description, where everything seems almost holographic and hyper-real, with colors like nothing I've seen in waking life. Anyway, just lately (like, yesterday and today) I've been reading more about projecting and the astral world and am shocked to discover that what I'm experiencing is quite universal! For a bit I thought I was in the beginning stages of losing my mind!

Anyway, to get to the point of my question. The people I encounter all seem to "speak" English, though the mode of transmission I think is usually telepathic because I can't seem to remember anybody having a "voice", of course that could just be my faulty memory. Is this because we are communicating through thought? If I were to communicate with someone whose first language wasn't English, would they hear my communication in their language?

Thanks, and I look forward to learning more and participating in this community!

In my humble experience, most communication takes place not in words, but in thought forms and concepts that often cannot be associated with a particular human language. After you wake up back in your physical body your waking mind will try and attach words to the concepts and communications you experienced, but that often fails as well as you probably noticed.

The few times people have spoken to me in OBE it was basically as you described... I don't even remember if their mouths corresponded to the words they were communicating, or if I audibly heard what they said... all I know is they said it. I also think you translate the thoughtforms into english as they're communicated to you without realizing it. It's like someone showing you the letter "A"... you hear the sound associated with the symbol in your head, you don't think "hmm... two lines coming to a point with another line acrossed them."

Interception and Astral316, yes, I think both of these must be true. Now that I think of it, I guess there isn't as much talking as I think there is, I am mostly attempting to piece together what I can in waking.

I might be a little different but, I have always communicated verbally with beings I come in contact with. At least, that's the way it seems.

I find communication isn't limited to words - I've had combinations of telepathy, feelings/emotions/sensing, intuition, & visions. The intent can be expressed in many ways.

Hmm, sometimes I get words, sometimes ordinary thoughts.

I've hear that when a Grey talks to you (while awake), you hear it in your mind's voice. Some people accidentally mouth the words, as though the Grey is not speaking your language, but rather, channeling the information through your mind and making it create words you can understand.

But when you're in an altered state (tranced or projecting), you should be able to understand everything without words. When you hear the words, it's usually your own mind turning the thoughts into words. It's a bit like talking to yourself - it's not necessary but part of your mind likes to create words from thoughts

Thanks for all your insight, guys.

Zareste (or anyone else), what is a Grey?

The typical stereotype for an alien described in most abduction cases.

Symbolism can constantly be found in the astral. The old-school occultists (and many still today) studied the underlying symbols of nearly everything as a way to understand, communicate, & navigate through the astral. There's a so-called "astral alphabet" of tarot, astrological, religious/mystical symbols, colors, shapes, numbers etc. used as symbolic expressions of archetypes. You could say that strictly using physical language limits your astral experience.
