Title: Not Sure
Post by: Hesperus on February 27, 2011, 19:14:47
:| Hello.  I am new to astral projection.  I have been practicing/attempting astral projection a couple of times a day.  I have also been working on making contact with my spirit guide.  I am an unskilled clairvoyant passed down from my great grandfather.  I know that I need more practice and I will eventually be able to astral project.  I have made progress.  I feel the vibration and it seems that as soon as I become aware of it, I get jolted back out.  I am not fearful.  I had a lucid dream last night that I laying in bed pondering astral projection when all of a sudden an Asian man was lying platonically next to me.  I told him that I wanted to get in touch with my spirituality and learn how to use my natural abilities.  He said "interesting" "you are unusual" "you are on the right path".  I then drifted into a normal sleep.  I was later jolted awake by having something grab my leg.  Two hands grabbed my right leg, but no one was there.  I have been touched before in the past by a spirit, but nothing like last night.  It was not friendly.  I do say a protection prayer each time I have attempted contact with my spirit guide and each time I attempt astral projection.  If I have somehow attracted something bad, how can I rectify this?  I am sorry this post seems scattered, but there are a couple of things going on at the same time.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated.  :-)

That experience of lying next to a being sounds fascinating.  Maybe he is a guide for you?  I'm wondering if you could have been projecting at that moment?

Are you sure that the leg grab was 'unfriendly?'  I know that I have in the past interpreted things that way because they are new and different.

A lot of the scary stuff we encounter has to do with our own fears.

I guess that I interpreted the grab as unfriendly because it was very firm and when I jolted awake, the feeling of it lingered on my leg.  However, I am very open to being wrong..  :-) I am greatful to have found this site.  I am glad I am not alone. :roll:I am paying a lot more attention to my thoughts especially those that I would normally deem as random.  Thank you for your response.

Perhaps, the fact that it caught you by surprise was somewhat frightful. When I first experienced sleep paralysis about 3 years ago (I had no knowledge of any of this type of stuff), I woke up and felt an strong heavy sensation flow from the bottom of my toes to the top of my head. This freaked me out, but three years later having discovered this forum, I learned that this may be an energy related phenomenon. I think you should simply take into account what you experience and try to find out the reasons behind it in both the physical and your astral research and experiences. If it is an actual negative force, you have the power to let it affect you or not. If something grabbed your leg again, and you were in a mindset that you were ready for any spontaneous event, you wouldn't find the experience very frightful. Then that negative force will no longer affect you in a bad way.
