I've heard musical sounds...though not chimes. More flute like I thought.
I've also heard voices and other sounds...
Like just early this morning, semi- awake, just starting to rock and vibrate a little,
when I heard a growly-woof sound, and then something grabbed my feet..hard !

Woke me up that did !

I'm glad that everyone that has responded has experienced similar encounters.

What really frustrates me is that I haven't had an AP experience since I have created this thread. I mediate everyday since but nothing has worked...

We go through these slow periods... Stinks, doesn't it?
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

@ TimeTraveller,
Go to bed one hour earlier than normal and sleep without attempting anything. Shut yourself off to any non-physical activities including dreaming.
Convince yourself you can have some dreamless sleep.
You may be successful, its a sort of reset mechanism that wakes the subconcious into action. What you wanted a few weeks ago may just occur.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Please read some of the stickies from the senior members here.  There are tons of method for you to try.  I'm sure one will work for you.
Boom chika wow wow!

Thanks everyone. I will give it a shot.

There was only 1 ap experience that was intentionally done.

I have bruce Roberts 90 days to ap book but I havnt had the opportunity to read it. Also, I have a whole list of stickies of one methods that I havnt read into either.

Let me tell you. An ap experiences are surreal. It's is unlike anything in the physical that can compare. That's why I am so yearning to experience this again

I just had a slow period for conscious projecting and I figured out what was causing it.  If I have too much sleep and too much food in my stomach, I could lie there for hrs. and absolutely NOTHING will happen.  I adjusted my sleep schedule back to no more than 8 hrs, got back to daily exercise, light meal and had an empty stomach before bed, then projected at bedtime and immediately my ability was back just the way it used to be.  Sloth and greed don't pay.  Lol!

Sounds like a good plan. I always go to be bed full too so that can be something I can reduce

Everyone has to experiment and find out what works best for them. It's basically trial and error to a point, but some things are pretty much the same for everyone.

My sweet spot for Mind Awake-Body Asleep is after 6-7 hours of sleep generally. I think this is pretty much the same for everyone. I agree that 8 hours is the limit, I don't even waste my time after that point.
