Title: OBE OR LD
Post by: Jeff_Mash on October 06, 2003, 19:42:14
At the time of the experience, did you KNOW you were dreaming?  Or did you know you were wide awake?

This is usually how I determine the difference between an LD and an OBE/AP.  In one case, you're consciously aware that you're in a dream.  In the other, you're aware that you're not dreaming, and that you're indeed projecting.

About seeing people who are not physically there (in the case of your Aunt Jessica), this is very common.  I have often projected into rooms of my house and seen family members there who were not even in the house at the time.

The way I look at things like that, we're all multi-dimensional beings.  As a spiritual, energetic being, one facet of me is typing this response....another part of me is thinking about my childhood home and running aroung the kitchen.  So, if a friend were to OBE right now and try to contact me, they may either come into my office and see me typing, or they may see me running around my childhood home in the body of a small child.

Unfortunately the obe books out there make it seem like obe's are very distinct from dreams, however there seem to be many times when obe's turn into a dream or if you are lucky you can turn a dream ino an obe. Even when an obe feels real there is stuff that comes in that must be dream imagery. Remember that when you have an obe you are creating your reality, not just being an observer in a strange land, it comes out of your concious and subconcious minds.

I agree with Jeffs Statement.

When you are OBE you KNOW IT. It is lot clearer than a LD. And people do leave after images of themselves. So the images of your Aunt could be that: Afterimages.

Fear is everyone's worst enemy. But the more you fear the greater you chances of bumping into negs. When you do, just tell them to f_ck off and scratch their eyes out, kitty kat.[:D] They usually do. We all deal with that fear. Poitivity is the best way to avoid it. Concentrate on the fun stuff you can do out there.

I was in my bed, And I was thinking about an A.P.  So, I felt my body floating.  (This is when it started feel like a dream.)  I was floating in my bedroom, and I was going to see if my brother was a awake or asleep.  I floated into his bedroom and saw him sleeping.  But before the OBE, I remembered my brother playing video games.  So, I thought, Man, this OBE must be strange.  I floated downstairs and saw Auntie Jessica.  But Auntie Jessica was here yesterday.  I thought to myself, Hmm.. She was here yesterday.  I was floating near the ceiling and she looked up.  Then went back to putting flowers into the vase.  Then I floated next to her.  She looked at me then got back to doing her stuff.  Then I floated into my parent's room and I yelled, "Grandma!  Grandma!"  I yelled it 'cause my grandma is dead and I wanted to talk to her.  But... Nothing happened.  All of a sudden, I was back in my body.  I was a bit scared but... Hey, Either it was an OBE or Not it was pretty cool ;)  But what does it mean to have a dream about an OBE?
